October 2021[edit]

Hello. You have likely noticed that I have reverted several of your recent edits. This is because:

  1. There was no census in 2019 or in 2020. As falsely claimed in several edits. Like this edit to the Skibbereen article, these to the Bandon article, here to the article on Kinsale, this to New Ross article, etc. If you have references to support updated population estimates, then please provide them. Otherwise please don't just make stuff up. WP:VER. WP:HIJACK.
  2. Future events are not certain. As suggested in several edits. Like this about some vaguely speculated developments on the N71 or similar speculation on the Macroom article or this entirely unsupported speculation about what could potentially happen on the N23 at some vague point in the future. If discussing potential future events, then it must be clear what supports that speculation. WP:VER. WP:CRYSTAL
  3. Editor's opinions are not to be expressed as fact. If you, or someone you know, calls the N71 the "long way around" then that's fine. But that does not mean it is an established alternative name for the road. And doesn't support extrapolation as to what that means for the N22. WP:EDITORIAL. WP:OR.
  4. Translations for Irish place names must be supported by verifiable references. In this this edit to New Ross you claimed that Ros Mhic Thriúin means "third son of Ross". Not only did you not provide a reference to support this, but I can find NOTHING AT ALL to support such a claim. ALL the available references (and anyone who speaks Irish) will tell you that "ros" is not a person's name. It means "wood" or "height" or "promontory". Please don't "invent" your own names for things. In Irish or otherwise. WP:IMOS. WP:VER.

Will you keep the edits that kind of makes sense, like the N70 primary destinations when I added Waterville and Sneem, and also saying Cahersiveen is a town on the N70 road? And the "M20 Motorway vague plan". — Preceding unsigned comment added by CrypticCurrency1 (talkcontribs) 13:02, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm not sure I follow what you are asking me.
I do not see any edits (by you) to the Waterville or Sneem articles.
I do see some edits (by you) to the N70 road (Ireland) article. I have not touched (and have no plans to do anything with) your additions there.
I had not seen the edits (by you) to the N20 road (Ireland) article. I have removed the text you added. As uncited, speculative, unexplained and of limited value to the reader. While the body discusses the previous and on-going proposals for an M20 motorway, they are not sufficiently advanced for inclusion in the leader. IMO. And, what is covered in the "M20" section, is already mentioned and (curiously) linked in the body. Another link/mention doesn't add much. IMO.
