Hello, CristinaStroe72, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Dragoş Popa, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

The article Dragoş Popa has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hello[edit]

I've tagged both the romanian article and the english article with links to the other languages (on the language bar to the left) and I added a template that shows that the Romanian article is more in-depth and that it could be used to expand the english article. As far as tagging the article that it's a translation, I don't think you need to (unless the translation is a machine translation, or there is a lot of grammatical or coherence issues) But it seems ok to me, understandable. If you really feel the need to tag it as a machine translation, please add "Rough translation|Romanian" in between {{ that and }} instead of quotation marks to the top of the article. Thanks for all your work on wikipedia! Ncboy2010 (talk) 03:16, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, the article has no secondary sources. If you could find some, you may be able to save it. Other than that, all I can say is go here and vote keep. If there are enough keep votes, it won't be deleted. In the meantime, you can copy all of the text to a sub-page, so you can work on it and find sources if it gets deleted. sorry Ncboy2010 (talk) 18:34, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it is not the number of votes, it is the strength of the arguments. You are strongly discouraged from creating sockpuppets, if you know what I mean. Dahn (talk) 18:50, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Dahn, I saw that you posted a message like that for ‘’EdwardMA”. Please show me in private why I commited sockpuppets. Go and check how do you want and proof me. Even if you are an administrator, you don't have the right to make such a statement or to escalate an inquiry in public. This is written in the code of civil procedure, at least in my country.CristinaStroe72 (talk) 20:08, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:42, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contacting Wikipedia[edit]

The short answer is, see Wikipedia:Contact us, but as you will see there, Wikipedia is a very decentralised organization, and if you are looking for "Headquarters", there isn't one. You can put {{helpme}} at the bottom of your talk page with a question below it, or ask at the WP:Help desk, or if you have a serious complaint you can try the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

If you are worried about Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dragoş Popa, don't be - Wikipedia is a complicated organization, and everyone knows it takes time to learn about it and what to do and not to do. What you have learned is:

  • Wikipedia is quite selective about subjects for articles. The WP:Notability requirement is taken seriously. That someone is a good person, or deserves support, or needs help to promote himself, are not good reasons to keep an article
  • Asking people privately for support is called canvassing and is disapproved of
  • If new users who have never edited before appear in a deletion discussion to support an article, there will be suspicions that they are "sockpuppets", or perhaps "meatpuppets", people who have been encouraged to set up accounts just to come and support a case. That is also disapproved of, and it is ineffective because the administrator who closes a debate will not take much notice of such single purpose accounts.

There's no way you could have known those things in advance, and I'm sorry if finding them out was rather rough, but now you know them, so they should not be a problem in future. I hope you will not be discouraged, and will continue to contribute. There is good advice at WP:Your first article
