Fire Star Changes[edit]

I'm not sure how we were vandalizing the Fire Star page. My daughter added descriptions of dragons and other creatures, and cleaned up problems with typos, formatting, etc.

The request to delete the Human Factors Lab page was done so as an act of vandalism by ex members who are no longer with the band. The bands lawyers have been contacted and the issue is being dealt with. This is only one of many recent actions these people have taken. please STOP adding the deletion request to the Human Factors Lab the user name " bringthemdown" which created the request was only created to cause vandalism. You are not helping the situation, if anything you are making it worse. If you know of another way to have the request removed i ask you to please help the situaion by aiding us in taking these steps. Thank you

Below is a very voiciferous complaint I made on behalf of my friend (posts listed above) I am pleased to say that after some persistence is has been very ably dealt with by Prodego & (assisting him due to the volunteers workload) Chzz .

I understand that mistakes are sometimes made & have now recieved a very solid response. Including the information that ideally James should have been supplied originally.

Thank you very much, I am now able to assist my friend & explain why his post was originally reverted.

My friend James asked me to post, his English is not very good but I have read his submissions. They are enthusiastic but seem to make good sense.

He has attempted Twice to post an article about Tau Ceti the CURRENT, FREE, PUBLIC DOMAIN game - now indevelopment. And has TWICE been reverted without any attempt at an explanation.

James told me he posted in the Tau Ceti (astronomy) section, realised his mistake & posted again under Tau Ceti (Computer Games) - Which is a COMMERCIAL PRODUCT, albeit no longer available.

I'm very glad to see that Censorship & Rash potentially racist bias runs deep within the staff of Wikipedia. My friend has now made THREE (I have read these as well) attempts to gain some sort of explanation from Prodego &/or Connormah.

Whilst the moderators were very happy to revert the posts my friend made almost instantly (James says within ONE MINUTE, I cannot verify this) So far ABSOLUTELY NO EFFORT WHAT-SO-EVER has been made to try & contact him to explain WHY.

Wiki wants to be Current? - it was regarding a Current project. Wiki wants to be Complete? - it is an Ommission, reverting it perpetuates a current ommission. Wiki is non-profit, so we assume supports non-profit ventures? - Tau Ceti is an Amateur game, FREE OF CHARGE, being developed by One person for fun. How much more not-for-profit do you want?

It seems candid to me that Wiki is quite happy to support Commerical Adverts for DVD's & 'History' about defunct commercial products.

James's posts included a link to the Tau Ceti website - I DO NOT BELIEVE - that any attempt to verify this link or confirm the Currency, Completeness or Vaildity of my friends entry was made.

I DO BELIEVE - that seeing an 'unsuitable' entry (In the unpaid 'moderators' eyes alone) it was Instantly and Arbitrarily removed.

Thank you for your proven Bigotted approach to information. Thank you for your Laziness regarding verification and Thank You for ommitting yet another persons committed development from Wiki - Don't worry, I have kept a copy of this post as I fully expect it to be removed.

No doubt this is how Jimmy Wales & Larry Sanger intend the Wiki to operate, or this kind of moderation would not be tolerated...

By your own rules James's post should not have been removed - Verifiable & Public Domain - all bases covered I think.

Obviously personal bias is more important, WELL DONE. Glad to see Quality, Freedom of Information & Accountability hasn't been compromised.
