Image copyright problem with File:AnPhoblacht1981LeinsterHouse.jpg[edit]

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

Syrian civil war[edit]

The Australian simply regurgitated what SOHR said. There is no independent verification aside from claims of some guy sitting in a house in Coventry. Therefore it is completely untrue to say that "The death toll was updated to 145". No it wasn't, a claim was made by a person sitting hundreds of miles away in his house in England.--CommieMark (talk) 09:27, 20 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Really? Says who? You are more than welcome to take it to the RSN board. But in a nutshell, what you think about "some guy sitting in a house in Coventry" has no bearing in the matter, the Australian is RS by all Wiki policies so unless you get a consensus to say it is not, do not remove the content again. Dear Mark, You probably won't take the advise, but, one, you have decided to battle a person with roll back authority and other privileges -- and while he is not an administrator he or she is as close to being one without being one. And you can never win a battle with an administrator or one that is almost an administrator. Second, even if you had not decided to battle with the wrong person, you were standing on good ground until you wanted to take a swipe at two editors with that section naming on TALK pages, that is a big no-no on talk pages. And at last three. Please read this WP essay. It will save you a lot or heart ache (and the poor cat or dog being kicked around) if you decide to stay with WP. One, an older (and I am old) WP editor several years ago told me "..not to worry about edit reverts or deletion. Move on to the next edit." Very good advise. To wit, edit wars never are worth it.
