Comments[edit]

Hi Colin,

You have done a great job of simplifying and distilling down the facts, I like the additions you made to the legislative history for Patent Misuse. I just have a few comments: 1) the sub-headings are very long 2) the tenses (past/present) change in the article and 3) the content doesn't read smoothly between subheadings (this may not be critical).

Also... why did you merge history and case law? It looks a bit jumbled. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sashashekhar (talkcontribs) 01:36, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. I combined the two because it seemed like much of the "history" also established the case law. Was there some case law that seems purely historical? 169.229.123.69 (talk) 02:04, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Colin, the template substitution hasn't occurred yet, and that's because you haven't gotten the hook field right—the link to the article is named incorrectly (the "s" after "Craig" isn't there), it's missing a one of the two final brackets, and it isn't bolded.

[[Craiglist v. 3Taps]

needs to be written

'''[[Craigslist v. 3Taps]]'''

to come out Craigslist v. 3Taps

Once you've made that fix, the template substitution should work (use the editor's "Show preview" function; it should look like a standard DYK entry rather than still have "subst:NewDYKnomination" still visible in the preview. This should work; I've tried it in the editor. I can't be the one who saves it thought—that has to be you. The person who saves the changes is the one who is automatically entered on the template as the nominator, which is why you need to be the one to do it. Disambiguation link notification for March 20[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited ACLU v. Clapper, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fourth Amendment (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
