Orphaned non-free media (Image:FIPFA_Emblem_08_medium.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:FIPFA_Emblem_08_medium.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 03:55, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on United states power soccer association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Image copyright problem with Image:USPSA emblem Final.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:USPSA emblem Final.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:43, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fipfa[edit]

Please stop adding all the extra text to this article. You are clearly trying to advertise the sport, and this is not what Wikipedia is for. пﮟოьεԻ 57 07:31, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If I am trying to advertise this organization, then you should also delete a large portion of ALL the other sports organizations such as FIFA, FA, NFL, NBA, etc. Just because this organization is new on the world scene doesn't make it less valuable. This is a brand new sport for disabled athletes and FIPFA is equivalent to the world governing bodies of other sports. I completely disagree with your statements.

Chris Mulholland

Please stop re-adding all the information to the FIFPA article and read WP:ADVERT. It is very clear that you are advertising the sport, using phrases such as "growing new sport", "the first - and only - competitive team sport for people with disabilities", "combines the skill of the wheelchair user with the speed and power of the chair itself". If you continue to re-add this sort of stuff to the article, you will be blocked. пﮟოьεԻ 57 12:26, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FIFPA[edit]

For the final time, please stop adding all the extra stuff to the FIFPA article. If the phrase "the first - and only - competitive team sport for people with disabilities who use power wheelchairs." reappears in the article, you will be blocked. Blindly reverting other editors changes to articles is very bad practice and will not be tolerated per WP:OWN. You have constantly reintroduced mistakes, bad formatting and mistaken categorisation to articles you edit because you are doing this.

Also, please read WP:MOS before making any more contributions. You are making a complete mess of the articles you are adding. The most important tips are:

  1. Articles title with acronyms (e.g. FIFA) should be all capital letters.
  2. Articles do not start with a heading.

пﮟოьεԻ 57 17:51, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, you have completely and utterly missed the point. I have no objections to the fact that is the first competitive sport etc, but this should be covered in the powerchair football article (though not using the terms you have), and is completely irrelevant to the FIFPA article.
Secondly, I am not "blindly" editing your entries - I am trying my best to get some form of conformance with the Wikipedia manual of style, which you have consistently reverted despite several hints.
Lastly, I assume you are joking when you say that the FIFPA article should be as large as the FIFA one? We are not exactly comparing like with like here - one governs what is by a long distance the most popular sport in the world, the other is about a 2 year old organisation which covers a sport played by a few thousand at most. If you actually took the time to look at the FIFA article, you would notice that it is all about the organisation, and not this history of the sport (which is what you are trying to put in the FIFPA article).

Also, given your creation of the VPSA article, please read WP:COI. пﮟოьεԻ 57 08:05, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I deleted the references because you weren't using them properly. You cannot just link to the main page of a website - it has to be to the specific page - have a look at Kadima leadership election, 2008 - the references link to the actual articles themselves, rather than to the main pages of the news websites.
The other external links were deleted because I didn't feel they were relevant to the article (i.e. were not links about the specific subject of FIPFA). The national programmes should be linked to on the articles for those programmes. пﮟოьεԻ 57 10:29, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
