Non-free content use[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically User:CloserToBugs, may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:10, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CloserToBugs. This is just a not to let you know that I removed a number for non-free files from your user page. Non-free files are only allowed to be used (i.e. displayed) in the article namespace per non-free content use criterion #9; they aren't allowed to be used on user pages, even in the form of user boxes, as explained here and here. If you've got any questions about this, feel free to ask them below, at WP:MCQ or WT:NFCC. It's OK if you didn't know such a thing was not allowed; just keep it in mind before adding anymore images to your user page. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:15, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
