Presidential elections have always elected a vice president[edit]
They're called "presidential elections" because it's concise and because a vice president is a sort of president, but it's not all about Biden. Nor was the announcement by the GSA. Just stated that Emily Murphy’s letter “ascertaining” Biden as president-elect did not mention Harris. Vice-presidents are not “a sort of president.” I don’t believe you are using facts yourself when accusing CNN of believing that “black women are unelectable”... - When I reverted you, I quoted whichever letter is in the CNN source directly inline, not sure if that's from Emily Murphy or someone else, but it definitely mentions a "Senator Kamala Harris" apparently succeeding alongside "Joseph R. Biden" in this election. You can believe what you want about my accusations, but I insist it's not just black women, CNN introduced me to the term as it pertains to black candidates and woman candidates, too. Warren, Obama, Sanders...OK, maybe Sanders is a bad example. But why else do you think it doesn't mention her once in a story about the GSA calling her a winner? CNN is all Biden, all the way, has been for over a year. Maybe that's all it is, not racism or sexism, who knows? - It was an email, from Mary Gibert, the federal transition coordinator. I've never heard of her, but she seems legit, according to Kristen Holmes and Jeremy Herb's piece. What matters is it says which two candidates were apparently successful in the eyes of the GSA, and it's directly inline following a claim of the same in our lead. Please take the time to read the Emily Murphy letter, it’s less than two pages long and it’s addressed to Biden as he is the candidate to be notified in these situations. Disregarding your subjective issues with CNN, perhaps they didn’t mention Harris because the Murphy letter they were reporting about didn’t do so and didn’t have to. That is the main source of the article in question. CNN may very well say that the GSA ascertained a Biden-Harris win but that is implied since the GSA only referred to Biden. - Upon further furious Googling, it seems I cannot base nor found my claim that CNN, as a whole, believes Kamala Harris, as a person, is "unlectable" on any evidence publicly available at CNN.com or one of its indexed subdomains. So it's possible I read it from a CNN "media partner", or heard it in a YouTube video containing fair-use audio of a cable-only official CNN communique, OK? So yeah, call it a "debunked conspiracy theory", this notion that CNN is strongly drawn toward favouring the white man in federal affairs, call me a tinfoil-hatted kook for suggesting a belief you don't believe exists, I deserve it, I mispoke or disremembered. But you damn well know I was right about the only two sort of people who ever win presidential elections in our lifetimes, at least! Double concede like gentlemen, brother?
