Welcome!

Hello, Churaru, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Lenka (album), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. I have nominated Lenka (album), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lenka (album). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Abc518 (talk) 20:41, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Your Love's a Drug (Leighton Meester song). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. October 2010[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 13:51, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced release dates for "Can't Make This Over". Unless you find a reliable source for that (other than radio1.gr), you may add it back. Thank you. SnapSnap 15:49, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you feel a different title is appropriate, you create it using a move. You absolutely do not use copy&paste as you did with the above title. Doing so destroys the edit history - there are several other editors who have contributed: they need to be credited. Also, you do not mark the old title for deletion until all incoming links have been fixed. And in this case, I think the old title should remain indefintely tagged with {{R from alternative spelling}}. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:14, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:TheLyingGameLogo.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:TheLyingGameLogo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 05:58, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Natasha Bedingfield 2011.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Natasha Bedingfield 2011.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:05, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please tweak your references![edit]

I've just come across the Infinity (Charice album) article, and noticed that you're using what we call "bare URLs" in your references (i.e. just pasting in the web address). These are subject to "link rot", which basically means they could disappear, so it's always necessary to provide some other information in a reference. If you go to the citation templates page, you'll find templates to make your life easier! This one, in particular, is good for citing web pages:

{{Cite web
| url = <!-- required -->
| title = <!-- required -->
| accessdate =
| author =
| last =
| first =
| authorlink =
| coauthors =
| date =
| year =
| month =
| work =
| publisher =
| pages =
| format =
| language =
| quote =
| archiveurl =
| archivedate =
}}

(Fill in as many details as you can). Hope this makes your life easier - it will certainly make your articles look better :o) Pesky (talkstalk!) 08:50, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as File:EyesOpenCover.jpg, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Statυs (talk) 07:09, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:EyesOpenCover.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:EyesOpenCover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Swifty*talk 19:48, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 07:52, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

February 2021[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Poster Girl (Zara Larsson album), to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Just for clarity, Poster Girl (album) was already created and redirected because it didn’t meet WP:FUTUREALBUM nor WP:BALL, so creating a dupe page was not ideal. Don’t worry, it has been redirected. Thank you. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 21:09, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
