October 2018[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Sky News, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please also check any contribution you may make for correct English. Thank you. David J Johnson (talk) 11:30, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Sky News, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Do not remove properly referenced history from this page, if you continue you may be blocked from editing. David J Johnson (talk) 13:46, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Media conglomerate, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Redalert2fan (talk) 11:59, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Page moves[edit]

Your page moves among the various flavors of Sky UK is problematic for two reasons:

  1. you don't appear to have discussed these changes anywhere;
  2. you have used cut-and-paste operations rather than the normal move functionality, which is discouraged (see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Fixing cut-and-paste moves).

I have brought this to the attention of the administrators (see Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Improper page moves), not because I believe your actions require administrator sanctions, but because it will take an administrator to sort out the issues and restore the proper page histories.
