Potential conflict of interest[edit]

Hi Chuck, I assume you are this Chuck Girard? If so, then you will need to be very careful when editing the article to avoid a potential ore perceived conflict of interest. For anything remotely controversial, it may be best to use the talk page to suggest changes to others who can then edit the article. I'm not suggesting that you have done anything wrong, but it can be a contentious area. Cheers Kevin (talk) 03:37, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Love Song Band circa 1972.jpg[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Love Song Band circa 1972.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:11, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Original Castells vocal group promo shot.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Chuckgirard. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Love Song (band), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:57, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Girard. Please be careful to add secondary sources as references when you make additions to articles that you are involved with. This would include former bands and those of your daughter. Better yet, please make suggestions for additions on the talk pages of the articles. If you have any questions about either option, please comment here.
