License tagging for Image:Bandsoclogo.jpg[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Bandsoclogo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button

Chris, I've had to delete a few of the articles you started I'm afraid. Tygerstyle was deleted because the band does not meet our notability standards set out at WP:MUSIC, and because this page and this one indicate that you may in fact have a conflict of interest with that article. The same applies to the Liverpool Guild of Students article - you're connected with them, and in addition, it doesn't meet the notability criteria. I understand that you want to promote these entities and inform the world about them, but Wikipedia is not the place to do this, because we can only report what's already been noted down in reliable, third party sources - such as The Times or The Independent (or even, god forbid, The Guardian). The final articles I've had to delete are ]the ones related to disability discrimination agencies - while I support their work, most of the text was taken off the agencies websites, and as such is copyrighted to the agency. If it's copyrighted to anyone but yourself, you cannot use it on Wikipedia - see Wikipedia:Copyright for more information on this. However, your a keen editor, and I don't want to dissuade you - so if you want a chat about how you can help the project, let me know via my talk page, or by adding me on msn at hawkertyphoon at hotmail dot com. Why are you deleting my content?
This isn't a copyright infringement, it's data on a company, you wouldn't delete a page on amnesty or b&q.

- I'm not enjoying it - it's my job. I ensure that we aren't sued for copyright infringement. If we take a random sentence from Employers’ Forum on Disability: "EFD provides a wide range of enabling products and services making it easier for business to recruit and retain disabled employees, serve disabled customers and develop partnerships with disabled people as stakeholders in the wider community.". A Google search of this sentence shows us that it's lifted, word-for-word, from www.disabilitystandard.com/whatis/about_us/, in direct contravention of their copyright statement. We don't delete pages on Amnesty International or B&Q because we wrote those articles in our own words, so they're copyrighted to us. The article you wrote, however, contains huge chunks of text that are copyrighted to the organisations, and transferring them to Wikipedia without the organisation's consent constitutes copyright infringement. I hope you understand why we must take a hard line on this - Wikipedia is a charity with only a few staff, and if sued, it would be forced to dissolve. - Permissions can be complicated things at the best of times, because you don't just need permission to use it on Wikipedia - you need permission to use it anywhere, for any purpose. I'll happily re-instate the articles though, without the problematic text - give me a few minutes to sift through all the different revisions, they'll be up by 6ish, possibly by 5. Thanks for uploading File:EFDlogo.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
