The Pulse (WP:MED newsletter) June 2014[edit]

The first edition of The Pulse has been released. The Pulse will be a regular newsletter documenting the goings-on at WPMED, including ongoing collaborations, discussions, articles, and each edition will have a special focus. That newsletter is here.

The newsletter has been sent to the talk pages of WP:MED members bearing the {{User WPMed}} template. To opt-out, please leave a message here or simply remove your name from the mailing list. Because this is the first issue, we are still finding out feet. Things like the layout and content may change in subsequent editions. Please let us know what you think, and if you have any ideas for the future, by leaving a message here.

Move function[edit]

Hi! As an FYI, please use one of these two options when you want to move a page:

  • 1. Use the "Move" function so all of the page history is transferred
  • 2. Wikipedia:Move request - You are welcome to simply make a request to move a page

October 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Giovanni Battista Grassi may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:45, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes reviewer granted[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Hi there, the sourcing is still insufficient. Dates of some sources seem to be wrong/inconsistent as well. If it isn't fixed, I'll have to revert. FunkMonk (talk) 15:25, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Quentin D. Wheeler, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Taxonomy. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Pending changes[edit]

Hi Chhandama, thank you for your work reviewing pending changes! Please ensure, however, that you don't accept changes that introduce unsourced personal information to BLPs as was done here. These are the type of edits that I applied pending changes to protect against. Thank you, --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:54, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, my bad. But the edit was actually a correct information in the infobox. However, I was mistaken of not checking the text for citation. I shall edit it myself to redeem my oversight. Chhandama (talk) 08:20, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism reverts[edit]

Hey there! Just wanted to make a note of this undoing. The edit, while confusing and not properly formatted, isn't vandalism and shouldn't be labelled as such. The editor is actually part of a school program to edit bio-related articles; we've been getting quite a few edits that aren't properly done, but are with good intention. Thanks! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 21:39, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the misunderstanding/ignorance of the editor's background. But the text was clearly out of place, and made no sense. Chhandama (talk) 08:15, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Check in on Precambrian rabbit article[edit]

Hi. You might want to check in on the Precambrian rabbit article, as one editor seems intent on reposting what I presume to be his or her original research. Instead of getting into an edit war, I have prominently noted the unsourced nature of the text, which this editor has repeatedly added to this article. Paul H. (talk) 01:28, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing it out. I have removed it and explained on the talk page. Chhandama (talk) 03:25, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sangthankima, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rehabilitation. Hi, this draft has been in your userspace for about a year, without any edits. The journal obviously does not meet either [[WP:NJournals]) or WP:GNG, so it would most likely get deleted at AfD if you would move it to article space. What are you planning on doing with it? It obviously cannot stay in your user space forever. Thanks. --Randykitty (talk) 15:45, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
