The genres

I know, and if necessary, the pages can all be protected, but "Wikipedia administrators" did not ask for the genres to remain the same, and I had to remove that. Acalamari 04:05, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

I agree, but putting in hidden text saying that Wikipedia administrators object to the genre change won't help, as the user will ignore it and remove it. If this keeps up, the pages can be protected from sockpuppet attacks, which is what this user is doing: using sockpuppets to change the genres. I myself have blocked at least two of the user's socks. Acalamari 04:13, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh yes, and s/he is currently dong edits...i am reverting them and trying to explain him/her through edit summaries. Indianescence (talk) 17:48, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

No idea of this person, but these are clearly fan influenced edits. I am starting n discussion on Talk page of Gwen Stefani. See you there. Indianescence (talk) 17:55, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey Charmed, feel free to comment at Talk:Gwen Stefani#Music genres where a consensus will hopefully be reached. Spellcast (talk) 08:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

re: Article improvements

Hey Charmed.... I checked out all of these Ciara articles and quite frankly all three of them are already in pretty decent shape. I think the best thing you can do is put them up for nomination to allow other editors to check them out and make suggestions for improvements. I can't imagine that changes would be more than minor tweaking.... I see lots of sources, which is also good. I recommend reading Wikipedia:Good article criteria (if you haven't already), and then once you feel confident about having others assess it, put the articles up at Wikipedia:Good article nominations. - eo (talk) 14:36, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Goodies

Why are you removing hip hop? Its title track is hip hop, so why can't hip hop be listed in the genres? Hundredalexander (talk) 18:24, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

It's not needed? The title track is hip hop, so give me a better reason. And you don't need to reply on my talk page, I have your's on my watch list. Hundredalexander (talk) 18:29, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

It's not really hip hop? Are you serious? Hundredalexander (talk) 18:32, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Then it is partly hip hop so that should be on the album's page. Hundredalexander (talk) 18:34, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Break the Ice

I've just downloaded it. Running time: 3:37 It cuts out the lines: "It's been a while" "I know I shouldn't have kept you waiting" "But I'm here now" And begins straight away to the music. The music is the same, until when it reaches: 2:06 (Album version) - 1:56 (Radio Edit) where it adds an extra beat to when its going "Oooooooo" and then it goes to the original sound. Then once thats over it adds that same extra beat while she singing "Let me break the ice Allow me to get you right Won't you warm up to me Baby I can make you feel Let me break the ice Allow me to get you right Won't you warm up to me Baby I can make you feel Hot"

Its very hard to explain it. It had changed alot. Here is the link if you would like to here it yourself. You have to download it --BatterBean (talk) 02:53, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

It's sounding fan made the link i gave you. But the radio edit does sound similar to that. --BatterBean (talk) 03:07, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Content disputes and other things

Hi! 'twas on my daily routine when I noticed that you and InDeBiz1 have had some disagreements on some pages, specifically two of Rihanna's songs Shut Up and Drive (Rihanna song) and Unfaithful (song). While I realize you have a concern, please express it on the talk page of the article in question; bringing the dispute to the article itself is not a good thing. Hope you understand! Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 03:27, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Discussion - RIHANNA - Shut Up and Drive

Another user has suggested that the R&B tag on Shut Up and Drive should not be used, per a reasoning very similiar to yours. As such, I have started a thread on the article's talk page inviting comments so that we may hopefully reach a consensus on the question. I invite you to participate, if you'd like. --InDeBiz1 (talk) 20:48, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

I had raised the topic on Spellcast's talk page about this user being a sock puppet. Orphaned non-free media (Image:AHH.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:AHH.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. I urge you to review WP:CIVIL at your convenience, just as a refresher, so that you don't accidentally scare off any new users that may be well-intentioned in the future. I am also willing to bury the hatchet, so to speak, and start fresh with you. But, I will leave that decision entirely on your plate and completely understand whichever way you may decide to go. Stepped On My J's Is Confirmed

Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, and Ciara just filmed the video. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ob9KWtc78kA). Don't edit her template with such nonsense. (NewCiaraFan09 (talk) 01:03, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

The filming of a video does not necessarily mean that a record will be released as a single. It's a likely indicator, sure, but not a confirmation. The label is servicing "Body on Me" as the follow-up single to "Party People." Also, please make sure that you're following WP:CIVIL with your comments, as Don't edit her template with such nonsense could very easily be taken as a personal attack. --InDeBiz1 Review me! / Talk to me! 01:26, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

In reply to pop ballad

Okay I will stop putting it into artist infoboxes but I'm going to put it into song information! I know it's not a complete genre but it's a quick easy way of telling people if it's a fast upbeat song or a slow moving song! plus their is an article on pop ballads so there! And as far as I can see from this talk page you made a lot o f incorrect additions to articles so how am I suppose to believe you about this article!--Seán Travers (talk) 08:57, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Seán Travers

I agree. There's no way that that song is R&B. The people who hosted that award show must have been on drugs when they gave the award to that song. ILikeMusicaLot (talk) 16:46, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

R&B

On pages,R&B should always go 1st,for this reason:

Only the 1st genre gets capitalized. However,R&B is always supposed to be capitalized,so it has to go 1st to prevent unnesecary capitalization of other genres. ILikeMusicaLot (talk) 16:36, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Now you're really making me mad. Is it really that hard to use an edit summary? XxJoshuaxX (talk) 01:54, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: List of Ciara awards

Thanks. I was working on the article and stopped partway because I got caught up in other things, but still plan on completing it. Gary King (talk) 03:25, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Stop reverting my edits. I have removed unsourced information from these pages (FAKE sales figures) only. I have not removed any important information OR facts. If the sales data was indeed fact, I would not remove it. I am NOT an idiot. Unless you have references for the "important information and facts" you allege I have removed, DO NOT edit Wikipedia pages to reflect such nonsense. WikiTikiTaki (talk) 02:37, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
