Clan MacQueen[edit]

Two months ago you changed MacQueen to Macqueen (lower-case 'q') throughout the article. If that is the correct capitalization, shouldn't the article be moved to Clan Macqueen so the subject matches the article title? Chris the speller (talk) 00:30, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well i guess so. I had moved the article once to a lower-case title, but someone moved it back. I just didn't bother reverting. The clan is spelt with a lower-case 'q' on the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs website link.--Celtus (talk) 06:04, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Culloden image[edit]

Hi Celtus I'd like to use your image of Culloden Battlefield in the forthcoming issue of Family Tree Magazine. Having read the usage terms I think that I am okay, as the image will be used to illustrate an article in the magazine and not for commercial purposes. I intend to credit the image to Celtus, but if you have a preferred credit line, or if I've mis-interpreted the usage terms, then it'd be great to hear from you. Best wishes Helen Editor, Family Tree Magazine helen.t@family-tree.co.uk 01487 811738 62.3.233.207 (talk) 12:11, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Helen. Which image do you intend to use? Do you mean the panorama (this one)? I uploaded that one here, but i'm not the copyright holder. The creator of the image is listed under "author" in the summary. The photo was originally posted on Flickr by user Auz, and released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 license. So anyone can use it, as long as you credit him and state what license he released it under. So maybe you could put something like "© Auz and released under CC-BY-SA v2.0", something like that. You could also link the license to its page at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/ so its clear what the conditions of the license are. That's about it, i think.--Celtus (talk) 07:55, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
