Rhys Tyler[edit]

Second teams which play in the same pyramid system as the parent team should be included (Germany, France, Spain), whereas traditional reserve teams (such as in UK) should not. I removed the German II team stats purely because I could not find a source for them. GiantSnowman 12:26, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox dates[edit]

Hi, when updating infobox stats you should update the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats, by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made. Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 14:35, 18 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

International youth stats[edit]

Soccerway only seems to include tournaments/qualification, and not friendly matches. It therefore should not be used for youth stats, as they are incomplete. GiantSnowman 10:21, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I believe we were both editing the page at the same time. I was updating the information and inserting correct links to the Brighton page, I did not notice that the appearance data was not adjusted properly so if you would like to change this stat back to the figure you provided then this issue shall be resolved. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:14, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2018 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Cazza3012. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox dates[edit]

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions was not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats, by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 00:10, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Archange Nkumu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 1. deild karla (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Current transfers[edit]

Hi there. A quick heads-up: many transfers are currently being announced with the summer transfer window being open. Most of the players switching clubs, however, will be contracted to their "old" clubs until 30 June. This needs to be reflected on their Wikipedia pages. That is why I had to revert most of your changes at Aziz Behich. We will have to hold back on updating the infobox, lede, squad templates etc. until 1 July. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 19:18, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Alicante City F.C. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:GNG, possible hoax. I tried searching for it on Catalan Wikipedia and Spanish Wikipedia and could not even find a mention of it. It's also rather weird that the official site of a football club in Spain is offered in English and Finnish but not Spanish or any other language of Spain.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 00:10, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Piping German clubs[edit]

Hi Cazza. Thanks for updating Robin Bormuth. Never-ever should we pipe Karlsruher SC to "Karlsruher" like you did here. It's a sin! ;-) No, seriously: an essay exists that is in fact titled "WP:KARLSRUHER" which explains that "In German football, it is not common practice to list clubs by just the town/city names, in the way that in England we refer to Liverpool or Blackpool" and has a dedicated section on the "The Karlsruher problem". I suggest you have look. :-) Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 20:12, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rafail Sgouros moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Rafail Sgouros, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 12:13, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Zoumana Diarra moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Zoumana Diarra, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) WP:NFOOTY is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Please don't restore a PROD request if someone else, even an anonymous user, objects to it. The removal of a PROD tag with the summary "He plays for Everton, one of the best clubs!!" is clearly the rejection of a PROD. Animal lover |666| 05:56, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Anderson Chaves[edit]

Hello Cazza3012, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Anderson Chaves, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anderson Chaves.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|North8000}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Your article on John Lucero has two dates of birth: 1 December 2003 in the infobox and 17 April 2002 in the opening paragraph, neither of which is referenced. If there are conflicting sources, I think the closer to his club(s) they are, the better. I haven't found the 2002 date on the internet, so I can't tell where you got that from. footballdatabase.eu, transfermarkt.com and playmakerstats.com all have the 2003 date but they may as well rely on an erroneus source. So one has to weigh the reliability of sources, but in any way the dates we have in our articles should be consistent, of course. Proofreader (talk) 13:59, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry yes, the 2003 date is correct. Cam (talk) 14:03, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, firstly, thanks for the your contribution and improvements to Kayla Rendell's article. Unfortunately, the updated statistics do not appear correct. Despite the FANWL site showing player statistics [1], they aren't only domestic appearances in the league (consider the header misleading). For example, in 2021–22, Rendell is listed as making 34 appearances when Southampton only played 26 league matches. This is also confirmed by the FA Cup goal that is included in this total. Do you have an accurate source for infobox stat of 77 appearences? CommunityNotesContributor (talk) 16:17, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, if you click 'view stats in mode' and select league only, you can view her league stats only. So I did that and then combined it with her stats on Soccerway to get 77. Cam (talk) 08:09, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah of course, thanks for explaining. CommunityNotesContributor (talk) 10:26, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nathan Messer[edit]

I saw your edit re: Nathan Messer - thank you. I see what you reference on his Providence College page. His Vermont Green page (https://vermontgreenfc.com/roster/nathan-messer/) and his William and Mary page (https://tribeathletics.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster/nathan--messer/15385) show a hometown of Bethesda MD. His RIFC signing (https://www.rhodeislandfc.com/news/rhode-island-fc-adds-nathan-messer-for-2024-season/) shows Washington DC. Something to keep an eye on for more info?
