Essays about soap operas[edit]

To be honest, copyright violations I must report; that is all I can do. I have written three essays that are in User namespace instead of Wikipedia. You can discuss them in these talk pages:

User:George Ho/Manual of Style/Characters (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
User:George Ho/Adding an image of a fictional character (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
User:George Ho/Notability (character) (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

They are still under development, but I wonder what you think about my essays about soaps. By the way, why did you remove my message about couple images? --George Ho (talk) 20:41, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My point is that you are often deleting articles rather than assisting in the editing process. Before your block, you were constantly adding deletion tags and after your block was lifted, you still tend to delete articles. Just understand that while there is a very large amount of under-worked articles, I am doing my best to properly edit/source them. Me among very few who take part in that. I just was surprised that you were making some kind of positive edit and actually looked for sources for Kim Sullivan Hughes. I do believe that since you are not a fan of many or all the soaps, perhaps you should hold of on editing them or much less deleting them. About the couple images, I removed them to clean up the talk page. That is all. Casanova88 (talk) 20:55, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was ordered by mentors to take deletion proposals to mentorship page. Doing that advice reduces chances of my getting blocked again. If I propose a deletion in my mentorship page, a proposal must require approval by one of mentors. Nevertheless, I don't see approval of proposed deletion on soap articles happening, as I would be persuaded to discuss first. I don't want to do that at first, but your passion for soaps and liveliness of soap dedicators influenced me to discuss things with you.

Therefore, regarding couple images, Stefan2 and British users at talk:Pauline Fowler said that couple images are not essential and beneficial for single-character articles, such as Katie Peretti, Holden Snyder, and Lily Walsh Snyder. I know you wanted to add couple images to present visual aid about a couple in a section; if you doubt about Stefan2's and other users' words, why not discuss this in WP:MCQ? They are good advisors about WP:NFCC and WP:IUP. I'll give you more time to read my essays if you can. --George Ho (talk) 21:46, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 24[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Reva Shayne, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Robert Newman (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks for uploading File:Natalia emily quartermaine.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:07, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
