Slovak Wikipedians' notice board[edit]

Hi. You might be interested in checking out Wikipedia:Slovak Wikipedians' notice board. All Wikipedians interested in Slovakia or subjects somehow related to Slovakia are invited to use this noticeboard as a tool for better organizing their activities, making announcements to others with similar interests, and discussing any actual issues related to their work on Wikipedia. You are welcome to add this notice board to your watchlist, so that you could see when it is updated and thus take part in any projects, initiatives, and improvements relating to articles about Slovakia. Also, you are welcome to report your own articles here so they could be peer-reviewed and expanded by other contributors. Tankred 04:41, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gerlachovský štít‎[edit]

Thank you for all your fine work on this article. I think it can easily get highlighted as Wikipedia's "good article". If you have time, perhaps you can read Wikipedia:Good articles, think about what else should be done and finally nominate Gerlachovský štít at Wikipedia:Good article nominations. Please let me know if I can be of any help. Tankred (talk) 05:25, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I don't know if you're here at the time I'm writing this, but the article above is on hold for "good article" and I've thought you may be interested at some points. Some have already been done, but some need yet to be solved. MarkBA t/c/@ 18:44, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Table[edit]

No problem, it's nice to have a play around with things occasionally.

I was thinking of climbing this mountain next year but wasn't sure how icy it would be in May and equally exactly what the rules are regarding climbing, 1 person had told me that without a guide (but as a UIAA member) you are only allowed to climb (i.e. technical rock climbing) not walk to the top. JMiall 17:35, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to jump in like that, but if you speak Slovak, you can find more information at [1]. Basically, as a member of a national UIAA club, you can walk outside the official trails only if it is needed to access a climbing route of the difficulty III or more (on the UIAA scale used in Central Europe). So, you are not really supposed to use the easy "normal" route to the summit of Gerlach. On the other hand, there are several nice (and easy) climbing routes to the summit you can choose instead. Banska Bystrica[edit]

Thank you for your great copyediting. I have added an Economy section. I wonder if you would not mind looking at it as well. You can find the new section at Banská_Bystrica#Economy. Thanks again. Tankred (talk) 21:03, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
