File copyright problem with File:LisaStansfield.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:LisaStansfield.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 08:51, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

April 2011[edit]

I see that you've been doing some edits and marking them as minor [1]. Help:Minor edit states that: "any change that affects the meaning of an article is not minor," so in this case (in the Mark Wahlberg and Soleil Moon Frye articles) the use of the minor edit button seems to be in error. June 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Ironic (song). When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. ۞ Tbhotch & (ↄ), Problems with my English? 22:05, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The usage of the {{singlechart}} is not a rule. Second, if you didn't know "Ironic" is currently at GAN and consistency is needed. Third, per WP:MOS stability is needed; the article has had those charts in that way for years, so unless you are going to nominate Jagged Little Pill to GTC there is no valid reason to make changes. Also, I'm going to request you this once: use the singlechart template where it is needed. Many articles has no consistency nor stability, and some of them have no sources e.g. New York, New York (Moby song). Its chart section has no sources, so, why do you do not add that template there, and you instead add it to an article with a) sources and b) consistency and c) stability? ۞ Tbhotch & (ↄ), Problems with my English? 22:19, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I didn't know the article is yours, but now that I see the nominator's name I get it. I thought one of the rules of Wikipedia was I can edit any content I want if it's not against rules. Though I agree that wrong time chosen. As soon as the article becomes good (which I hope will happen), I will make changes with the singlechart layout. — Cannot (talk) 22:29, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is not *my* article, and again, per WP:MOS stability is needed. There is not legitime reason to make that change, read MOS:CHARTS; nowhere in that guideline is stated that the article must use the singlechart template. But {{singlechart}} says: "A similar template for use when citing sources for musical albums, EPs, or other releases has not yet been developed. ۞ Tbhotch & (ↄ), Problems with my English? 22:36, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blake Shelton[edit]

You just changed some information on his new album's page and Billboard 200. I'd beg you to delete them because the album hasn't been charting yet. The source you cite you say is a guess by Billboard how the album could sell next week, but it isn't official yet and this week's No. 1 is still Beyonce's 4 (2nd week).

Thanks in advance! --79.199.28.2 (talk) 01:40, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ev[edit]

[2] What do you mean by that? Gimmetoo (talk) 16:49, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There are different certification levels for CD and DVD sales. CRIA (now Music Canada) defines a CD album Diamond with sales 1,000,000 units, while a DVD becomes Diamond with sales 100,000 units. As Anywhere but Home was in section Live albums (which means CD album), it should't have "Diamond" certification because only the DVD was certified Diamond. – Cannot (talk) 16:54, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So why not identify that it's a dvd certification, rather than remove the information entirely? It is a certification, after all. Gimmetoo (talk) 17:12, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There's really no point since this is in "Albums" section. – Cannot (talk) 17:25, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Huh? It has a certification in one format. That should be stated. Gimmetoo (talk) 17:29, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:NothingCompares2U.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:NothingCompares2U.PNG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:09, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Singlechart[edit]

It's a known problem. Hung Medien sites use a non-standard encoding for special characters, and Wikimedia won't support it.—Kww(talk) 01:02, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

So there's no way Wikipedia will ever support this encoding, is there? — Cannot (talk) 01:12, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, I don't believe there is. It effects everything with accents, too, like Beyoncé.—Kww(talk) 01:31, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
