Deletion[edit]

At the risk of sounding annoyed, the reason your article got deleted is that you didn't even begin to tell what the film was about. There is a criterion for speedying articles that are lacking content. You've remade the article into something worthy of inclusion, however.

Cannin, one of the things that seem to get lost in translation around here is that the end user needs to be kept in mind. Not your fault, but I really feel the need to state that clearly. A good short article should begin as what you now have. Simply adding an opening sentence, hanging a stub article on it and hoping someone will expand it for you isn't the best use of the site's resources.

I'm very glad that you expanded the article, by the way. - Lucky 6.9 04:49, 29 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Statistics articles[edit]

Hello. When you create a new statistics article, could you add it to the list of statistics topics? Also, please note this difference:

(the latter format is standard). The same thing applies with round parentheses:

And notice the the title word or title phrase in an article should be bold at its first appearance (I took care of this in McNemar's test). Thanks. Michael Hardy 00:49, 14 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Erica_cerra.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Erica_cerra.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Better source request for Image:Robert adler.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Robert adler.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talkpage. Thank you. —Angr 10:45, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Erica cerra.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Erica cerra.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cholmes75 (chit chat) 18:04, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited He-gassen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Japanese (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

June 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm DarkGlow. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Stacey Slater, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. – DarkGlow • 12:18, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Airditioner requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Notice

The article Airditioner has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lacks notability. It's 1 sentence long with 1 reference which is a product line catalog. It also only mentions being used in one city.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Grzegorz Rutkowski moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Grzegorz Rutkowski, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:Grzegorz Rutkowski[edit]

Hello, Cannin. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Grzegorz Rutkowski".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Larz Anderson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bon viveur. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
