Hong Sa Ik[edit]

I put this article on my watchlist as I'm curious to see what will happen next. Based on what I've seen with other articles related to similar subjects (although it seems to have quieted down a lot lately), the reactions to this article may be fairly interesting. Cla68 00:29, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I wonder if I really want to open up this can of worms ... but hey, if it wasn't me, it would be someone else, right? Will appreciate your expertise, and your assistance in dealing with more extreme "reactions" =). cab 00:42, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I notice the entry for this subject on the Japanese Wikipedia appears to have more details. I can't read Japanese well-enough to translate it for the English version. If you could translate some that would be very helpful, otherwise, I'll post a request for translation on the Japan project page. Cla68 01:49, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done. I left out a few sentence fragments that felt like ethnic puffery, though ... cab 02:43, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nice work. Thank you. Cla68 03:05, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

edit: since talk pages are not a general forum for discussion of the article's subject

Actually all the discussion DOES relate directly to the article's content and subject, which is so far presented in a highly POV fashion and is also full of a number of falsehoods and pastiche myths. The talk template is welcome, but don't presume that what's on the page doesn't relate to the article; it most assuredly DOES.Skookum1 22:38, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure I'd agree 100% with that, but fair enough, thanks for your reply. Can I also suggest that you all begin using inline citations? I can provide help if you're not familiar with the use of citation templates. Cheers, cab 22:52, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Snle[edit]

Thanks for the heads up, that's probably him. Snle actually stopped editing Wikipedia for a month or so (at least it appeared that way), until he returned as User:NKH. Since then, he's gone through a number of sockpuppets and some IPs. That's why I created User:Khoikhoi/Snle. I suppose I should eventually list all of them there, but there are literally hundreds. Also it contradicts WP:DENY. Cheers, Khoikhoi 06:13, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Demographics of Indonesia[edit]

Sorry for the edit summary, I'm just used to using the popups utility for reverting changes since its so convenient. I reverted since the list of links will get out of hand if people start to add lists of overseas groups. I don't know of any currently existing article it is suitable to link from, so there is a great opportunity for you or someone else to start a general article about overseas Indonesians. Ethnic Japanese naming[edit]

I meant to notify you of my proposal for a name change shortly, but since I see that you've already read my comments, I just wanted to let you know that I didn't intend to keep you in the dark. Dekimasu 07:24, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, I was about to do the same thing and then got an edit conflict. Thanks =) cab 07:31, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As an editor of the Overseas Chinese page, please comment on the last few days of new discussion over the title at Talk:Ethnic Japanese. As Nikkei people, Japanese diaspora, and Ethnic Japanese have all failed to earn widespread support, I've suggested "Overseas Japanese", using the Overseas Chinese title as a model. What do you think? Dekimasu 13:24, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

islam in china[edit]

Fair use rationale for Image:VaithilingamSornalingam.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VaithilingamSornalingam.PNG. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Khalil Kalfat[edit]

Hi, cab. Considering the message you left here, I added a comment at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2006 December 31#Khalil Kalfat. The subject of the article is notable.

Kwang Chou Wan[edit]

Heyo. I've only just gotten around to checking my messages and I notice that any problems with references seems to be solved; well done as it now looks very good. I wrote the original article back in the dark days before listing references were as required as they are now but I seem to recall using an article then online as my reference for every statement post 1911 Britannica. Again, great work on the article. --Roisterer 23:51, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How did he do that?[edit]

I saw the edits going on that article on the singer and now it's gone. Ronbo76 05:58, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Articles split and deleted[edit]

Hi. I have split and renamed two articles you started, Gender-neutral language in Indo-European languages and Gender-neutral language in non-Indo-European languages, into Gender-neutrality in languages with grammatical gender and Gender-neutrality in languages without grammatical gender. It seemed like a more logical classification than IE languages on one side, and all the others on the other side. Please say so, if you have any objections. Regards. Huseyincan Celil[edit]

The current version, your most recent version of the page, I like. I have no problems with it. However, Khoikoi's removal of the fact that he has been tried for terrorism is unacceptable. So I will be reverting to your last version unless he provides a persuasive argument otherwise. KazakhPol 04:47, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He's in the news again.[1] Unfortunately I cant find a stable (non-Reuters) source for this story. If you find a stable source, please mention it in the article. KazakhPol 03:42, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Company infomation[edit]

Dear sir

I am the It manager of jetasia i would like to request that stop messing with our company information that is posted on wikipedia due to the fact that is no correct, and its outdated you dont have any mandate from us to edit or posted on internet even if its missin formation.

best regards IT manager Jetasia

Hello ... This is Chuck Woods, CEO of Jet Asia Limited. Your posting of our company's information was based on an article by Kirby Harrison that was largely erroneous. Plus that, the article was written in 2001, and much has changed with Jet Asia and in Macau. Please verify your facts before posting further. If you have questions or issues, you can call my office in Macau at +853 861116. Thanks for your professional cooperation. Sengottai/Shenkottai[edit]

AFAIK 'g' and 'k' are considered the same sound by Tamil speakers so I'm almost certain Sengottai and Shenkottai are the same place. BernardM 17:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jetasia for delete ?[edit]

For your information the value or wikipedia is information not missinformation. If you post in wikipedia firts pease get the facts straights, dont post based on web pages withput nowing if the information is correct or not, not everything taht is on webpage is true or real. Another thing taht you need to bear in mind information gets outdated or has a time limit , Wikipedia cannout survive with outdated information same as encyclopedia .

what was done on jetasia wiki was update the information not control.

Best regards
