Hi,

I've been researching some of the technologies behind mashups (which we love :-) ) and there seems to be only a limitated explaination of the enabling technologies behind them.

Where feeds are already available mashups can be created but only recently have some of the major players looked beyond simple screen scraping and into wrapping websites in order to create feeds where feeds don't currently exist.

I've drafted a Wiki on this which is posted on my user page and I'd greatly appreciate any and all help in beating it into shape.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi, Cadwellian. Thanks for inviting me to look around. I made some copyedits, which of course are only suggestions. I'd also suggest checking out WP:EL#Important_points_to_remember, from which I infer that your embedded ELs should probably be moved to your "External links" section, or converted to references (with appropriate re-wording). Also, like the main Mashup article, this one could use citations. That main article would probably benefit from some of your info about mashup enablers (perhaps as a new section, which you could then link to your new article once you create the new page), and from some of your info about mashup platforms in the beginning of the Mashup (web application hybrid)#Mashup editors section. That last point assumes that the main article's link from mashup platforms to mashup editors is correct; I don't have the tech knowledge to make that assessment. --Rich Janis (talk) 09:33, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
