Welcome to the Metalworking WikiProject[edit]

Hi, and welcome to the Metalworking WikiProject! Please feel free to jump right in; we have a lot of metalworking articles that needs assistance. If you have any questions please post them on the WikiProject talk page or you can leave them directly on my talk page. Wizard191 (talk) 02:05, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Untitled EP (The Avett Brothers album), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Untitled EP (The Avett Brothers album). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. RadioFan (talk) 11:39, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if this category should be a sub-cat of category:metalworking. Right now there's some very ambiguous categories that need review, and this is one of them (category:industrial processes is another). I'm not really sure what belongs in this cat, because the description is vague and open. I'd like it if we could come up with a better description for it, to make its use easier and more straightforward. Wizard191 (talk) 17:49, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Metalworking hand tools navbox[edit]

Thank you so much for the information. I have just changed the template. Jacopo Werther (talk) 12:44, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar[edit]

The Template Barnstar
Thanks for all your hard work in creating a new metalworking template and converting all of the articles over! Wizard191 (talk) 14:55, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the star, it's nice to be appreciated. Bryancpark (talk)

Tagging templates for speedy deletion[edit]

Hi there. Please remember to place speedy deletion tags into <noinclude> and </noinclude> when you place them in the Template:-namespace because otherwise they will be trancluded on other pages, listing them, too, for deletion. Also, I have declined the tag on Template:Metalworking - Metalworking Smiths because it's not a template but a redirect in Template:-namespace. Please use WP:RFD to request deletion instead. CSD tagged templates not populating category or being deleted[edit]

{{adminhelp}} The following templates have been tagged for well-over the wait period, but are not populating Category:Templates for speedy deletion and as such, have not been deleted. I would like to know if I have improperly inserted the CSD tags, more than being impatient about the templates not being deleted.

When a category is added via a template, the page doesn't appear in the category immediately, and sometimes never appears in the category due to one of various problems. The fix in such cases is to make a WP:null edit to the page in question. Algebraist
I just deleted the template pages for you. I agree with Algebraist, sometimes transclusions and categorization stuff is tricky. It was a good idea to use the adminhelp template to point this out. Thanks. Killiondude (talk) 20:42, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Avett Untitled EP.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Avett Untitled EP.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 10:37, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Belt Buckle[edit]

To be included in a category, the article needs to support the fact that it belongs in that category. Currently that article does not support including this article as jewelry. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:16, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Modular kiln[edit]

Hey, Since a while, I had the idea of a modular kiln/forge design (see http://www.appropedia.org/Modular_kiln ). I was wondering whether you could give me some info on how to design it. Hopefully, we can attain something useful in the end. 91.182.245.136 (talk) 12:28, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Art Jewelry Forum[edit]

Hello, I am working on a pet project to help digitize information about the field of metalsmithing+jewelry. I started with making a page for Art jewelry forum (AJF), and have a list of artists that I would like to make pages for as well. The AJF page has been nominated for deletion because it is questioned if the organization is "notable". I am reaching out to you because I saw that you edited some pages that relate to studio craft, and thought you may have an informed opinion (unlike the mathematician who nominated the page for deletion) about whether or not it is a "notable organization". If you have an opinion, one way or another, please way in on the articles for deletion discussion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Art_jewelry_forumClarefinin (talk) 21:30, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User:Bryancpark/Goldsmith sandbox, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Bryancpark/Goldsmith sandbox and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Bryancpark/Goldsmith sandbox during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion.
