SPSS Modeler[edit]

I continue to be concerned about SPSS Modeler and conflicts of interest. In this comment, you suggest a change to SPSS Modeler which User:Krexer made here. In the opposite direction, and less than 10 minutes previously, you had made this edit which introduced a link in Data mining to Rexer's Annual Data Miner Survey, a commercial product in which Krexer has declared an interest. It seems quite possible that you are an employee of IBM. Do you know User:Krexer in real life? Were these edits mutually promoting the commercial products in which you and he might have an interest, the result of collusion? Deltahedron (talk) 17:54, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, I do not know Karl. However I know of him as head of REXER data mining survey. He raised a concern with some outdated SPSS content on Wikipedia through a common Linkedin group last year, and as I work with SPSS products I took an interest and tried to update incorrect content and add relevant content.

It was brought to my attention this was a COI, so promptly stopped and made the addition to my User page declaring my COI. (you state i possibly work for IBM - I do, I am being completely upfront about that, it is stated on my User page)

As for the edits I made. The data mining TALK page has a suggestion to add the "Rexer Analytics Data Miner Surveys" if someone thinks it should be added. I thought it should be added so I did.

I checked the SPSS Modeler page afterwards (and following the COI guidelines), added a suggestion to the TALK page, even though it was FAR from a controversial edit. Bradhill14 (talk) 22:38, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
