License tagging for Image:PuertoArmuellesPanama.aspx.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:PuertoArmuellesPanama.aspx.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Guaymi_territory.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Guaymi_territory.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Unspecified source for Image:CharcoAzulOilterminals.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CharcoAzulOilterminals.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:02, 12 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 17:02, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Linking, sections and neutrality[edit]

I made significant edits to the Jonathan Plowman Jr. article today, and see that you undid some of them. Please review the Wikipedia article about link context, which states that editors are to avoid obvious and redundant links. Another helpful reference source is the Wikipedia Manual of Style, especially the part about sections and headings. It may also help to review the neutral point of view policy. The similarity of your user name to the article's subject puts your neutrality in question. --Adavidb 02:50, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Maryland's RESOLUTION OF NON-IMPORTATION) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Rehnn83 Talk 17:42, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -Cquan (don't yell at me...) 20:09, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. -Cquan (don't yell at me...) 20:51, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Jonathan Plowman, Sr., by Cquan, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Jonathan Plowman, Sr. seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Jonathan Plowman, Sr., please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Jonathan Plowman, Sr. itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:18, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:PanamaDraw.GIF[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:PanamaDraw.GIF. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Jusjih (talk) 02:21, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fox News Channel controversies[edit]

Hey I removed your additions to the Fox News Channel controversies article. You might want to stick to the facts. Stuff like "Foxnews has more viewers then both CNN and MSNBC put together.[1]" is fine. A lot of what you had there was really just your opinion. ~a (usertalkcontribs) 15:08, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Armuelles07.gif or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 12:10, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Another one of your uploads, File:Caminoapuerto.gif, has also had some information automatically added. If you get a moment, please review the bot's contributions there as well. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 14:56, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
