Angle Man and "FUR"[edit]

A FUR is the Fair Use Rationale.

And there are two issues here:

  1. Image size. Generally the number listed in the FUR matches the width of the file. There is a mismatch here.
  2. Sourcing. The FUR needs to fully list where the image was originally published and where the file came from.

The Second is the bigger problem here. "Scanned from comic book page" implies that you scanned it from the original publication. In that case, the "Description" should include title, issue, date, and artist. This seems to be a problem across more of your uploads than just File:Angle man - secret society of super villains special 1.png. There is also an issue with calling interior artwork a "cover".

Now, if you are using {{Descript-cvr-art}} or {{Descript-inner-art}}, entering the publisher as the 5th field is done for cases where a file has been lifted from another web page and the issue number and date are unknown. The publisher can be added with pub=.

- J Greb (talk) 21:32, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, you're right, I should use the inner-art-Template when it is not an cover art... But I always wrote the correct title/vol/issue/date...--Baruch ben Alexander - ☠☢☣ 21:38, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The inner-art-template isn't working :(. Wenn i type {{Descript-inner-art|Avengers|1|320|Early August 1990|Marvel Comics}}, the output is "Interior artwork from an unspecified issue of Avengers published by Marvel Comics."... But I did specify the issue!! What's wrong :(--Baruch ben Alexander - ☠☢☣ 21:43, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK... swap "|pub=Marvel Comics}}" for "|Marvel Comics}}". - J Greb (talk) 22:21, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thx, I'll look all my upload up and correct them, if necessary --Baruch ben Alexander - ☠☢☣ 22:41, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of .zim[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as .zim, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. keystoneridin! Disambiguation link notification for July 13[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Alternative versions of Magneto, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shoa (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
