I've attempted to upload a photo to a page that's missing one, but I wasn't allowed. Apparently, I need to become a "confirmed" user, but I don't know how to do that. Help!  :-)

Welcome to Wikipedia! If you want help with anything, just leave a message on my talk page, and I'll answer it. If you are unsure about where it was that you were told you weren't qualified enough to edit, just begin editing, and if the problem pops up, let me know, then! Most pages that are completely or partially locked are because of vandalism. Once you begin to edit-- it can be tiny little incremental edits, or if you wish to pick a biography of a musician-- see my userpage-- I have a short list and long list of worthy candidates who need expansion, references, and more-- I'd love to have you join me in editing any of those pages to whatever extent you feel comfortable, and will mentor you to the extent that I am capable! If you'd like to see how uploading your own photography works here, read the instructions that were left to me on my own talk sheet-- it's wide open for anybody. Some things are on my user page, as is the chart for what images from Flickr can be used, which is nice to be able to copy and paste in emails for other photographers (esp. when English isn't their first language) and a good link explaining Creative Commons. You also have my email, and though I've been offline because something is wrong with my computer, and will be so for the next couple of days or so until the IT Tech returns from vacation to help me, I'm losing my mind. But I'm gonna begin hitting the library's computers at least every other day. Where did you try uploading a photo that was declined?--Leahtwosaints (talk) 13:44, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
