I am very interested in the submarine O-9. I am in the process of building a scale model of the submarine and would like to write an article about the O-9 for the Nautical Research Journal. The President's Day image is one I have been trying, thus far unsuccessfully, to track sown its origin and ownership to accompany the article.

My association with the O-9 starts in 2004, while working in the NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration, I was involved in an expedition to perform a remote sensing examination the submarine in order to determine the cause of its sinking. We failed to come up with a definitive answer. However, the History Channel's Undersea Detectives participated and made an episode on the O-9. Having gotten a complete set of plans for the O-Class boats from the National Archives, I was able to construct a computer graphics scale model that was used in the show. Now I'm trying to make one out of wood.

Any further discussion is encouraged. Rick Yorczyk Risati (talk) 03:17, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
