If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on IGWC Slammy Awards requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.  GILO   A&E  22:04, 25 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • It was not deleted "due to the fact that the person putting it up for 'speedy deletion' thought it was not genuine", it was deleted on A7 grounds for having no credible claim of significance. When the significance of the material in the article is established, then it will need to meet notability standards, and when that happens the article can stay. Until then, though, the article has no anchor to drop in Wikipedia waters. TomStar81 (Talk) 23:57, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Daily DDT[edit]

Please note that the Daily DDT is not a reliable source so please do not use it as a reference as you did for the claim that Al Roker is a guest ring announcer for the mixed tag. 101.182.14.91 (talk) 23:25, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Joshua Dodd[edit]

Hello Bigbrojd,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Joshua Dodd for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

November 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Barton Peveril Sixth Form College appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification for November 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited British Academy Children's Awards, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Something Special (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
