You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

November 2021[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Teruto Ishihara. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 00:59, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Have you even verified the edit before undoing it? 石原夜叉坊 is the native name of Teruto Ishihara and you can verify it through any editor who understands Japanese. Berantral (talk) 18:02, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Berantral, In Wikipedia the editor who chang/add the info needs to provide the source (inline citation) to support the content claim - see WP:BURDEN and WP:PROVEIT. Source can be in any languagues and pls use the vertical format Template:Cite Web for inline citation (source). Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 01:52, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Cassiopeia, thank you for the policy link however my concern is not why I should provide inline citation but how you can consider my edit as unconstructive when it is very obvious that native names do not need citations. The Japanese Wikipedia has an article with the same name. If everything requires a citation then why there is a template like {{citation needed}}? Berantral (talk) 19:22, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Berantral, Info added or changed need to provide independent, reliable source to support the claim and the editor who did the edit need to provide the source (inline citation) - see WP:PROVEIT and WP:BURDEN. Source can be in any languages as long as they are independent and reliable such as from the newspaper. All Wikipedia language sites operate independent so the guidelines might be different. We are here in English Wikipedia so EN Wikipedia guidelines apply You are welcome to add back the native name as long as you can provide source (inline citation) as mentioned above. To add inline citation, pls use horizontal format of Template:Cite web if the source is from the web. Cassiopeia talk 00:34, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
