Hi[edit]

Hello Bendespain, sorry for my revert, but I think that the basic premise holds, and that some of your edits were good (like wording). Maybe you want to re-assess the current literature and update the content in question based on it (including providing a real reference)? The IPCC ref is from 2007, the latest report is from 2013. prokaryotes (talk) 21:40, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Prokaryotes, apologies for my ignorance, this is one of my few edits so far. It looks like the next IPCC report will come out in October this year. I guess when I read that sentence I felt it would be better to say that hydrocarbon burning is, more specifically, the "human activity" that is contributing to global climate change. I haven't done much Wikipedia editing so I'm not sure how to go about making that edit stick. Suggestions? Thanks! Bendespain (talk) 22:27, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Recommendation (how I would do it), notice the IPCC reference from 2007, look at the latest report IPCC Fifth Assessment Report, the page links to the reports directly, I usually start with the policy summary, this one (pdf). Ofc, you can also use google and look if there is a good source explaining the content at hand. But it needs to be a reliable source per WP:RS. I hope I did not interrupt your first steps here too much! So maybe try again ;) prokaryotes (talk) 22:55, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Church name usage[edit]

In connection with your good faith efforts on some church-related pages, in addition to MOS:LDS, you may be interested in the discussion that has previously taken place at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Latter Day Saints#changes based on recent style request from LDS Church?. Additionally, it may be helpful to remember that WP works significantly on consensus, so unilateral moves or edits will typically be reversed Thanks for your sincere desire to participate on WP.
