Germanic Europe[edit]

Hi there, just to let you know because you're probably not aware - changes to the use of the phrase "British Isles" in Wikipedia should be discussed at this page before being made. I will create a new discussion section for you about this article. Thanks, Black Kite (t) (c) 10:50, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As above; you also made this edit - I think this also is one for discussion at the above page, I would ask you to consider undoing the edit prior to the outcome of discussions there as a sign of good faith. Codf1977 (talk) 11:01, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"British Isles"[edit]

Hi. As you will notice from the two posts above, adding or removing the term "British Isles" is a contentious topic. The community recently agreed a process for dealing with problems in this area, which include sanctions against editors who repeatedly add or remove the term. For that reason I strongly encourage you to discuss any future changes at this page, as this will avoid unnecessary drama or sanctions. TFOWR 17:10, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
