Coconut are not found in Europa itself. The person who wrote the removed text was probably misled by the caption of pictures like this one http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-204774352/stock-photo-view-of-coconut-palms-at-sunrise-light-qawra-malta-europe-beauty-world-retro-style-filter.html "View of coconut palms at sunrise light. Qawra, Malta, Europe. Beauty world. Retro style filter. Instagram toning effect." This is certainly not a coconut.

That was me. I was going to write to your Talk page to inquire, as my travels along the coasts of the Mediterranean and Malta include memories of (coconut?) palms. Is this the accepted distribution? Perhaps this explanation (under Distribution) needs to be specified by you as a coconut expert to state there are no "coconut" palms in the Mediterranean.
