December 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Sascha Raeburn. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Please do not make test edits to articles, as you did with this edit to Sascha Raeburn, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits constitute vandalism, and will be reverted. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. Thank you. HappyInGeneral (talk) 01:48, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Barry, I have placed a template at the top of this talk page with some helpful links; those may help you improve the article on Sascha Rauburn. Your edits, as you have seen, were reverted: they did not improve the article, and I will restore the "notability" tag since editors here are not convinced of the subject's notability. Establishing that notability will require more than a weblink to the company she played with; the mere mention that she was with a company, if that company in itself is not notable (see WP:N) does not help: you need to produce in-depth discussion of the subject in reliable sources. Oh, her interest in martial arts does not make her notable either, I'm afraid. If you have any questions, drop me a line. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 02:38, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

I'm appreciating your help! I'm new to this and if you could assist me about fixing the notabilit/sources aspect of my article I would appreciate it. Many thanks! ----.

  • Hey, you're welcome. Please keep in mind that all (well, most...) editors here want to improve the project; comments aren't personal. I put the tag back for reasons I explained above, but that certainly doesn't mean the article is about to be deleted or anything like that. Like I said, keep working at it; you could start by browsing the Google News archives for reviews and things like that. I'll keep my eyes open too, to see what I can find. While you're playing around, look at other articles to see how they do it, and yes, play around in the sandbox a little bit--here, I made you one: User:Barrywonder/sandbox. Take care, Drmies (talk) 06:10, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • I did a little bit more work on the article, but I'm afraid the sources are pretty much exhausted. Keep your fingers crossed that she makes it to the paper with something big as soon as possible... Drmies (talk) 16:32, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so so much!!! The work you've done is fantastic, you're a real expert, the writing of it is beautiful. I will try to look into practising a l little bit soon in the sandbox. A question.. If you have newspapers or magazines at home of things that aren't online already, can you scan them in somehow and put them up online?.. In about a months time she's comng out in a martial arts magazine? --Barrywonder (talk) 23:41, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • You're welcome. I had some help from User:MichaelQSchmidt. Sources don't have to be online. If they are, that's a great help, but mostly we operate on good faith (one of the five pillars--see above, in the welcome template). If you have the source in front of you, and you provide info from that source, we'll take your word for it, unless they are ridiculous claims of course. Now, I don't know if that magazine would be called a reliable source here, but that's another matter. But magazines, newspapers, everything helps. BTW, I looked at that video of her fighting the evil Japanese computer hacker--not exactly my cup of tea, haha. Take care, Drmies (talk) 02:37, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
