Northern Areas[edit]

Hi there, I notice you changed "Northern Areas" to "Federally Administered Northern Areas" in several articles. As far as I can tell it was a loose term used by one or two newspapers. The government division that covers Northern Areas does not call it FANA. I have removed all instances of FANA unless there is an official name change somewhere. Response:

<The government of Pakistan uses both a short-form name and a more formal long-form name to refer to this territory. NORTHERN AREAS is the short-form name and FEDERALLY ADMINISTERED NORTHERN AREAS is the long-form name. See the following sources:

Disambiguation link notification for December 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gilgit–Baltistan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tibetan language (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Gilgit-Baltistan[edit]

Please explain why you are changing from a sourced version of an article to a less-sourced one. In addition, I am fairly certain that you copied and pasted that from a prior version, because of the bracketed numbers. That doesn't work, because it doesn't bring the references forward. In any event, your version also seems to be less neutral. It's time for you to discuss the matter on the article's talk page. Qwyrxian (talk) 02:08, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

September 2013[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gilgit–Baltistan. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Darkness Shines (talk) 15:37, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Elockid (Talk) 17:59, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
