Welcome![edit]

Hello, Ashley.n.reyes, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

December 2022[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 13:35, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Health. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 13:44, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey people. I'm not sure if the above edits are actually intentionally disruptive. I think that Ashley.n.reyes (who appears to be participating in a University program to edit wikipedia) i. made an edit, ii. saw that it was reverted, then iii. Tried to create a WP:DRAFT by moving the page incorrectly. The move feature can be a little unintuitive as is the fact that you need to copy the wikisource by hand to create a draft. I think Ashley.n.reyes might need some help getting up to speed (it's worth noting that most editors don't have to use drafts, they are useful for getting up to speed).
I might recommend going to the talk pages on WP:MED to familiarise yourself with some of the perversities of the editor and help you create a draft. If you ask they create the draft for you and suggest what might need improving. Alternatively maybe your course editor can help you. Talpedia (talk) 15:48, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
They already have been editing a draft, at User:Ashley.n.reyes/Health. The problem is the repeated attempts to copy and paste that draft section into the live article - it contains many errors of fact and is not suitable for the encyclopedia. MrOllie (talk) 16:23, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah okay. Maybe someone would be willing to review their draft and make suggestions. Perhaps one of their peers on the program or one of their instructors who are collectively involved in their learning to edit. Talpedia (talk) 16:34, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
