Notability of Anand Rajaraman

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Anand Rajaraman, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Anand Rajaraman seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Anand Rajaraman, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of National Security Act (India), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.scatmag.com/govt%20policies/security.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:40, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Vani.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 16:26, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Pakistani Kashmir

Since you insist that Pakistan occupys Kashmir I will make sure it is known that India occupys Jammu and kashmir also in the Indian occupied Kashmir article I will make a note of that in the openining sentence cheers Bhazan23 (talk) 18:29, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

hi; i insisted that downplaying the term Pakistan OCCUPIED Kashmir, is unsuitable; because it is very much used in international circles. If u look at the edit before mine; the name was removed from the top part of sentence and shifted to an insignificant position; where it says "it is also known as..." ;tht was my objection Arjun (talk) 09:24, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Mediation?

I was thinking of bringing User talk:Rahuljohnson4u to mediation to discuss edit summaries. Do you think that would be helpful? If I did this, would you be a willing participant? Thanks. Student7 (talk) 19:27, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Discussing Edit summaries would be a wonderful idea, and am in; given User:Rahuljohnson4u turns up.Arjun (talk) 09:21, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for agreeing! We have at least one other editor as you may have noticed. I have taken one last step to avoid mediation following the advice of another editor who apparently managed to get free of him (!) He suggested getting him "warned" by an admin might help. Somehow I am doubtful, but it's worth a shot and may stand us in good stead with the mediator/arbitrators if and when we get there. But it could take a little while. I am off next week. Thanks again! Hi

Say you here and thought it would be a nice idea to say Hi. Hopefully you are who I think you are. Why don't you try a hand at Malayalam Wikipedia as well? -- Raziman T V (talk) 12:06, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Hey daa, you are the one who you think i am. BTW really wanted to wikii in malayalam; but found out to be tiresome doing it the malayalam way. Not my play-ground Arjun (talk) 12:51, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

YOU CANNOT MAKE DATES SECULAR AND STILL USE THE CURRENT NUMERIC SYSTEM

I make not argument on keeping the BC/AD system based on religion. But you have no right to tell me I have to change what I have been doing for 40 years just because you do not like it. Change what BC/AD means to you if you do not like it, but all your edits will be reverted as unnecessary changes from this point forward.
There is no reason to change. If you do not want BC/AD to be related to Christ, then find other words for BC and AD, because that is basically what BCE and CE are doing. I make this point not as a religious argument--because I would be fine with 100 BC/BCE being refered to as "-100"--instead I argue the validity in the BCE/CE system as being widely accepted. Just because some book makers in Berkeley,CA start changing text books, doesn't make it so. If those same people started calling cats dogs, it would make them bark. The BC/AD is the most widely used and should remain. If you feel better, you can call it Before Common-era and After D...(choose a word.) There is not a movement to change the numeric system, so just create alternatives to the meanings if it bother you so much (Jgw71 (talk)) —Preceding undated comment added 21:57, 21 December 2009 (UTC).
ur words - // If you do not want BC/AD to be related to Christ, then find other words for BC and AD,//.

and that is what has been done; and that is what i edited. i feel that hypo-critic attitude as of yours are unworthy to be entertained, when it comes to NPOV. I understand your desperation, but i donot empathize with you. Arjun (talk) 11:03, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion tagging

Hi Arjun024. Thank you for your work on patrolling pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I just wanted to inform you that I declined to delete Thittakudi, Thanjavur district, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion under criterion db-hoax because of the following concern: it is not a hoax and the information in the article is supported by the associated reference. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion and especially what is considered Non-criteria. In future you should rather tag such pages for proposed deletion or start an appropriate deletion discussion. Regards -SpacemanSpiff 19:42, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

-SpacemanSpiff 19:42, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Well, i couldn't sort out the authenticity of the article from the reference, and not till now; a village with a population of 450 looked more of a hoax since there existed another Tittakudi. But i assume you have checked out and found it to be credible. In future i shall take care to tag such pages for proposed deletion. Thanks. Arjun#talk 05:07, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
There are plenty of villages with populations under 500 and they are perfectly permissible in Wikipedia. I have been around for three and a half years and am well aware of Wikipedia's rules and regulations to create hoaxes. I advice you to show some restraint while speedy-tagging articles created by established editors.-The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 11:50, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
Apologies.... my inability to sort out the authenticity of the article from the reference; to be blamed. From now on, i will take a moment to check out the credentials of the article creator before speedy tagging!. Arjun#talk 12:13, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

FC

A vandal named ikonoblast is trying to destroy the FC article. He tried two times (2007 & 2009) to delete it, but his intentions were exposed by other users. See his latest attempt to get the article destroyed here. 122.177.218.88 (talk) 11:57, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Non Free Images in you User Space

Hey there Arjun024, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free images are not allowed in the user or talk-space. I removed some images that I found on User:Arjun024. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use images to your user-space drafts or your talk page. See a log of images removed today here, shutoff the bot here and report errors here. Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 00:37, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

I've added justification for the inclusion of links to Religious Persecution etc. to the Talk:Persecution of Muslims page. If you have a strong argument as to why they are not of interest / not related, I'd discuss it there. 203.6.205.31 (talk) 21:03, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
