Excellent page[edit]

Hi Arielaloni. Your article on Arieh Sharon is outstanding. One suggestion I would like to make that could improve your articles here is the use of intext citations. Please consider it, if you need any help you can ask me. Regards, DVD 03:48, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, I started a notes section on the page. To add a footnote (often called intext or inline citation) add the code <ref></ref> around the bibliographic information and please include page numbers. With plenty of footnotes an article can qualify to go on the main page- at this stage as a WP:DYK which is for new articles or later as a WP:FA. Best regards, DVD 19:18, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Hi it's me again - I noticed the images you've added and though they are perfect for the article, yet unfortunately they may be deleted. As is they are unlikely to last 24 hours. You need to change the license templates to allow the possibility of commercial use or they could be deleted soon. Please replace all the templates on the page with free licenses such as {{PD-Self}}. You may consider uploading them on the Wikimedia commons [1] so that the images can easily be used in other language wikis for instance the Hebrew Wikipedia. You may want to use the following code to organise the image pages: {{Information |Description= |Source= |Date= |Author= |Permission= |other_versions= }}

Again, the page you've made is wonderful. Best, DVD 03:28, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note! I am not the best with images on Wikipedia either, but I've been here for a while so I know my way around. Your access to the archives and wish to upload them to Wikipedia is really fantastic, though in my honest opinion you should write a book :) I was wondering if you would consider getting WP:OTRS tickets for the images. I have never used OTRS before but the page you would use is here.[2] That would make them more secure from editors who are working on deleting images such as you encountered here.[3] The message they should have left on your talk page is here,[4] and it recommends OTRS.
Since you have access to the archives I would really love to see some architectural drawings or sketches, but the task I see is adding more footnotes. WP:GA and WP:FA articles of that length have in the range of 40-60 footnotes. If you can source any of the information to the articles and books listed that would help the article become WP:GA or WP:FA. I nominated the article to be on the main page under WP:DYK here is the blurb that I wrote:
File:AryehSharon.jpg
... that architect Arieh Sharon (pictured), who had been a beekeeper on a kibbutz, later led a 180 person commission to plan the development of Israel?
How does that sound? It should be on the main page in a few days and they'll leave you a message when. Regards, DVD 21:18, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
PS - you can delete any of the messages from your talk page after you've read them (I'm thinking of the bot image templates when I say this)

File copyright problem with File:Arieh Sharon Marlowe.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Arieh Sharon Marlowe.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Vladlen Manilov / 06:00, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
