Per WP:ORG, the notability guideline for organizations, some demonstration of notability should be included within the Penn club article. This usually includes press coverage. That was the purpose of the notability tag. — Scientizzle 20:50, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, the links were red when I wrote that edit summary. Removing the notability tag is inappropriate until the concerns have been addressed. Please reinstate it--it's a useful tool to signal to other editors that the article needs some help in that aspect. — Scientizzle 20:52, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If I didn't think that this was an article worth having on Wikipedia, I would have deleted it...Instead, I placed the notability tag--a very commonly used tool--as an indication that the new article was deficient in this area. The same reason applied to the stub tag I placed. This is no negative refelction on you or your work, rather it's an attempt to gather help for a new article.
As for the notability guideline, there's a long history regarding the necessity of demonstrable notability, assert via reliable sources, on Wikipedia. Without a decent demonstration of external coverage, the article could be nominated for deletion on these grounds. — Scientizzle 21:01, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
