Disambiguation link notification for June 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1000hp (album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Heavy metal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

License tagging for File:What's Next.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:What's Next.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:06, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Se Clint Lowery signature guitar designed by PRS.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Se Clint Lowery signature guitar designed by PRS.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 20:08, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You have now removed the hat note seven times. Pretty blatant edit warring and you can have your account blocked for that. It's just a hat note, they are very common and appear on a very large percentage of articles. Let it go. Beach drifter (talk) 19:16, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Sevendust - again[edit]

You have had 5 days to come up with verifiable source to warrant your removal of references and associated changes. I note you have edited on two separate occasions since I placed the talkback on your talkpage, so you cannot complain you did not see it. If you have contrary information from [[[WP:RS|reliable sources]] then the articles may need further editing. This is the gist of the last message I wrote on my talk page for you. You ignored this and left you reverts in place. Just reverting editors because you *think* it is wrong doesn't cut the mustard. Please see my talkpage if you wish to continue the discussion. --Richhoncho (talk) 09:28, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Having source with wrong information should not be mentioned under any circumstances. I guess we already have discussed regarding this quandary. Thank you --Arashinc 09:07, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps a reading of WP:TRUTH in conjunction with, for example, the first paragraph of Yesterday (Beatles song) will help settle your mind towards this matter. --Richhoncho (talk) 08:38, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wait for Me[edit]

Hi there,

I noticed you recently rewrote the "Wait for Me" article. As the main editor of that article, I was a bit surprised to see it back again. While I always like seeing well researched Rise Against articles, when I nominated that article for GA status, the GA reviewer brought up a good point. There are no individual articles about that song online. While "Help Is on the Way" and "Make it Stop" have had individual articles published by MTV and Billboard, there was nothing about "Wait for Me" individually. In fact, the only reason that song had a page was because it was a promotional single, and most promotional single articles on Wikipedia only survive if there is enough information about the individual song online. Just wanted to understand why you brought back the article.

Another thing I noticed was that you removed the audio sample from the article. Was there a particular reason for that? Famous Hobo (talk) 23:46, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop replacing the more current picture with an old picture. on Wikipedia, the current pictures are used in the infobox, NOT the old pictures.

This photo as u called 'old' is known to represent Godsmack wiki page for nearly a decade. Also the pic that you insist posting is not showing the whole members of the band. Please reconsider. Thank You --Arashinc 02:03, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Xmas Day single.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Xmas Day single.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:27, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not restore the page. It is not notable. It fails WP:NSONGS, there's only one chart position on an extension chart, and it barely reached it anyway. There's a single source covering it - there's no critical commentary on it and is likely to remain a permastub because of its lack of success. The only source that would exist for it would be the fact that it's a proven single and its only chart position. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 01:23, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi you recently restored an article from a redirect for the above subject which popped up in my unreviewed pages feed. Do you have any sources because as it is the article is a prime candidate for deletion. The concerns voiced by User:Drmies in his original redirect in 2015 was "not apparently notable outside his band. no reliable sources, article is mostly fan stuff, gear porn, chit-chat, OR". The redirect was reverted in March without addressing the concerns and you have done it again without addressing the concerns either or making an edit summary explaining why. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:23, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

December 2018[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Godsmack; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 16:08, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Clintlowerygodbless.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Clintlowerygodbless.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Non-free rationale for File:Morgan Rose Controlled Chaos.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Morgan Rose Controlled Chaos.jpg.

Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 16:59, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Godsmack's official logo.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Godsmack's official logo.png.

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:31, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
