Aspartame[edit]

Has been vandalised. This bot has come up in the history just before the vandalism and I do not have the power to reverse the vandalism. :-( Arthmelow 01:44, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request update to auto messages left on WP:AIV[edit]

Would it be possible to update the AntiVandalBot's messages left on WP:AIV such that the {{IPvandal}} is used for IPs? Thanks. — ERcheck (talk) 17:29, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy delete to Alex wan[edit]

I proposed a speedy delete to Alex wan because it was a newly-created one-line article that did not assert the importance of the subject. It said at the time, "[Alex Wan] is a young boy in malaysia who loves eating a variety of food and is a FATTY!!!!!" Soon after, I recieved a messege that my speedy delete template had been removed.--24.20.69.240 07:53, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

false article[edit]

this is not chalses theorem so i deleted it. no vandalism!--210.18.131.209 14:32, Tuesday September 5 2006 (UTC)

The SS.AVB[edit]

Have you considered changing up the image every once in a while? How about

The S.S. AntiVandalBot off the Wikipedia cost

Or maybe a pirate theme?--152.163.100.6 14:30, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How about

The HMS AntiVandalBot, fighting wiki pirates

Argh![edit]

Hi, please whitelist me, I am getting really tired of these silly reversions. Thank you! -- Visviva 15:02, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will do as soon as I get on a computer that can connect to IRC. Feel free to join #vandalism-en-wp and add yourself :) -- Tawker 15:56, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting Werdnabot[edit]

Just to let you know: [1] [2]. Mind whitelisting it or something? — Werdna talk criticism 12:13, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good job[edit]

I didn't figure that an edit like mine would be caught so quickly, but you got it almost before it was saved. My congrats! 129.108.25.6 20:09, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, AntiVandalBot! I'd like to let you know that my edit to Calnar was in no way intended as vandalism. I originally merged the page with List of Dragonlance creatures, where it was undone by a user whose name I cannot remember (it was an IP address, I think). We began discussing it, and no one has replied in several days. I took it upon myself to re-merge it. If that user would have been so kind as to reply to me, we could have worked something out. I'd also like to let you know that ddcc, a Dragonlance editor, agreed with me. I'll leave it alone until you reply, and then I shall correct this accordingly. Thank you! DoomsDay349 22:17, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, sorry, I realize my mistake. I blanked the page without a redirect, you're free to ignore the above statements. Sorry! DoomsDay349 22:22, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oops[edit]

I was trying to revert a page blanking on France and the bot got to it before me. It warned me because it thought I was a vandal. I'm not. Wigren 01:26, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Minor Edit to Peter Brock entry[edit]

Hi. The bot auto "corrected" a minor edit I just did to the Peter_Brock entry. (Attempted to correct a spelling typo - "Director" was spelt "Diector".) I'm assuming the bot is in place because of the vandalism that's been going on since his death?Johnmc 15:49, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the bot runs on every page, the revert was more because of the ALL CAPS than the spelling... most all caps edits are vandalism :o -- Tawker 03:57, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Made a Mistake[edit]

I thought that I was reverting to a non vandalised version of gnosticism, but somehow reverted one vandalised version for another, sorry about that, I am a new member of the CVU, so I probably have a lot more learning to do. It was not done on purpose, pure accident, thanks 27pence 21:18, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanna reiterate that my edit (reverted by the bot) was not vandalism. Rama's arrow 02:27, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On the user page, just a minor issue[edit]

Why the USS AntiVandalBot? Is this American Wikipedia? It is a global resource, a little systemic bias I caught, maybe "WSS" would be better (HMS would mean British Wikipedia). 205.188.117.66 20:41, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Because I'm American! Seriously though, there really isn't a global navy or anything. Everything sent out by NATO or the UN is really just from a member country. --Cyde Weys 20:56, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually HMCS would be better. Tawkerbot is Canadian you know :) -- Tawker 23:58, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I kind of meant WSS as "Wikipedia + whatever SS stands for". 205.188.117.66 15:33, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anne Hathaway[edit]

I corrected a bit of homophobic vandalism, only to have my edit reverted. PLEASE, PLEASE reign in your bot, son. --81.103.144.137 02:02, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this user that the bot acted in a homophobic manner.

Aroundthewayboy 08:47, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The bot reverted my edit. FSU does also mean Fuck Shit Up.--75.34.177.232 18:26, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit to my own Editor review[edit]

I was attempting to remove my own editor review when I was informed by yourbot that It has reverted my edits. If A person is doing somthing to their own userpage or Editor review, Why shouldn't they be allowed?  Daniel_123  ►  20:06, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Emergency stop[edit]

Hey sup, i can try put a "emergency stop" like tawkerbot2 on AntiVandalBot?

It's only a shortcut to the block button but sure -- Tawker 22:32, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bot problem[edit]

One problem with this bot is that it will sometimes revert only the last vandalism in a sequence of vandal edits. This increases the likelihood that the rest of the vandal edits will be overlooked. See for example this edit and what it missed.--Srleffler 06:35, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

reverted me after I reverted vandalism. Will try again. Dsol 12:59, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bot Problem[edit]

The bot revert my closure (by blanking) of a rather ancient DRV page. Best wishes, Xoloz 14:45, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent bot[edit]

I really appreciate the work the Bot did in reverting an act of vandalism on the Midnapore page. Thanks!--Antorjal 16:14, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AntiVandalBot messed up[edit]

I removed a test edit here but the bot reverted me. No idea why, but I think it's something you should take a look at. - Mgm|(talk) 10:53, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hard to fix problem[edit]

Hi there... Doubt you can do much about this, but the bot reverted this edit of mine (which I made per Wikipedia:Profanity). I don't know how u could stop it from doing something like this though; "fucking" is more often than not an indication of vandalism... Mikker (...) 23:14, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My edit[edit]

I attempted to revert a vandalous edit to the page Jasmine Rice, and I must have beaten the bot by just a second because the bot reverted my edit and warned me. Just letting you know. --דניאל ~ Danielrocks123 talk contribs Count 00:52, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

John Suckling article[edit]

Hello,

Perhaps it's time to place at least a temporary editing block on the John Suckling article. The kids seem to be at play again. I'm not an admin. so I can't do it; can you? --Michael David 01:50, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Street Punk[edit]

Your automated bot reverted my change to Category:Street Punk. I deleted the article and left the category entries, since (as the name suggests) it is a category, not an article. All of the content I deleted is found in the article streetpunk. Spylab 02:02, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Spylab[reply]

My edit to Pibb Xtra was a legitimate correction to an inaccurate quote contained therein. --Zpb52 05:31, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note[edit]

Your bot seems to be reverting other bots, namely Mathbot. Pgkbot said this:

<pgkbot> Whitelist [[User:AntiVandalBot]] Large edit
[[Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Horror articles by quality/1]] (5375)
Diff: ttp://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AVersion_1.0_Editorial_Team/Horror_articles_by_quality/1&diff=75844255&oldid=75844220
"BOT - rv [[Special:Contributions/Mathbot|Mathbot]] ([[User talk:Mathbot|talk]]) to last version by Tawkerbot4"

You may want to look at a whitelist or something to stop this. Michael Billington (talkcontribs) 07:14, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, why wasn't mathbot whitelisted.... that makes no sense. Should be fixed now -- Tawker 14:35, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
AntiVandalBot just reverted Mathbot again this morning. [3] --Ixfd64 17:41, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nail Bed[edit]

The bot saw my edit as vandalism. What I tried to do was remove the redirect that was on the page, since essentially the link from the Nail page just linked back to itself. (Essentially blanking the page) I probably should have just made it a candidate for deletion. In regard to the programming of the bot, I'm not sure how this specific type of behavior could be monitored or if it even /should/ be monitored by a bot. Vandalism of the redirect is simple, but editing of them has a valid use if there is a more related article that should be linked. Keep up the good work. -Chun 66.214.166.105 08:19, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bot error[edit]

My recently reverted clean edits to Thomas Sumpter Comprehensive School where in fact not recently reverted at all, when looking at the page history it became apparent that the bot had reverted an edit by an IP to my last clean edit, and not the other way around. All that I did was correct the spelling as you will see in the diffs.

thanks-- JiMoThYTALK 15:45, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

False Positive[edit]

Sort of. this edit was vandalisim, but the revert didn't really help much. --YbborT 00:11, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I received a notice on my talk page that my edit was reverted even though it was completley legit. Can I remove the warning?--KojiDude (viva la BAM!) 23:12, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My edit was reverted by bots 3 times now.--KojiDude (viva la BAM!) 23:16, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

False revert - Silken Audio[edit]

The reverted vandalism of Silken Audio in an incorrect edit. I am a friend of the owner of Silken Audio, and the entire page is basically vandalism, or at least a prank. The page should be deleted or blanked out.

Reverting to vandalized version[edit]

Please take a look at Westminster Bridge (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views). Your but reverted to a vandalized version because it was victim of multiple separate edit vandalism by two similar IPs. It might be a good idea to have your bots check if any edits have been made since the supposed vandalism they're reverting to avoid this. I've also seen them undo reverts by good users. It appears to be some sort of edit conflict when reverts are done in short succession. - Mgm|(talk) 09:45, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh NOES![edit]

The bot put back some vandalism that I reverted [4] - in the interest of making this great bot even better I thought that I would let you know. - Trysha (talk) 18:59, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted NPOV vandalism[edit]

Just thought I'd let you know that the bot reverted a reversion of vandalism regarding NPOV edits on Boy Meets World. I fixed it. -Shannernanner 04:41, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Politics of Kosovo[edit]

Would you please stop the bot from "reverting vandalism" on Category:Politics of Kosovo. We're trying to remove the material which clearly doesn't belong to a category page, but to article space. Thanks! Duja 07:55, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
