To me, citations are a crucially important element of a page such as this, and it is vital to get them as full and as complete as possible. Using the {{cite pmid|nnnn}} template ensures correctness and uniformity. However the pmid reference seems to be direct to pages, so I am surprised when you say they can be shared. Perhaps verification is needed.

Apart from correcting directly, I also hope that you can see how citations are. There is a whole family of citation templates: the general ones are {{cite book}} and {{cite web}} but more specific are {{cite journal}}, {{cite encyclopedia}} and {{cite conference}} and others. You can learn more about these by typing 'template:cite book' (for example) in the search box at top right.

Links to other wikipedia articles

Its fine to link to other articles (also internal as well as external), but wikipedia isnt external, so I have moved your edit to the see also section. Links to other wikipedia articles is made by starting with [[, and then the article name, and closing with ]]. E.g. [[Lymphatic system]] gives Lymphatic system. I came here to say pretty much the same thing. But the link doesn't seem quite as relevant in Elephantiasis, so I removed it ... his article doesn't seem to mention that condition. I'm no medic, so I can only suggest methods rather than details. What you need to do, in fact what you did do with lymphatic system, is go to the general area of interest. For example you could just click on vascular surgery within the article, or type something else in the search box. Then on the article page, just add *Waldemar Olszewski to the See also section, or there isn't one then start one with

=‍=See also==‍

It's that simple. Wikipedia will take care of all the parenting! So if you look at the Waldemar Olszewski page, and click on 'What links here' in the left column, you will see the parents.

Once you've done that, you can edit Waldemar Olszewski page and remove the top line.

Because I am no medic, I have asked someone else to help with the citations. However I don't know whether he will or not.

Wikipedia is like that! My advice would be to make the article bigger not smaller - make the body bigger, relating various milestones. And also make more and better linking between the body and the citations. I am currently trying to reduce the page on Victoria's Secret – it has 190 references!

I have asked another editor (user:John of Reading) to offer advice - he is much more experienced than me.

Anna, as JFHJr noted on his talk page reply to you, it is not your article, even if you created it and put a lot of effort into making it a detailed article, it belongs to everybody and anyone can edit it (those are the basics of Wikipedia). Also, biographies of living persons are subject to much more stringent rules than ordinary articles, precisely because they are about living people, which also means they receive a lot more scrutiny, so as to avoid: CV-style articles; mainly promotional articles about non-notable people; defamatory information which could have legal implications for the Wikimedia foundation and so on.

Wikipedia is not the place to list his 600+ publications, I would suggest adding an External Link in an External Link section, where you may add links to information "that could not be added to the article for reasons such as copyright or amount of detail".
