Hi Andrew, just a few words about how we treat deadlinks. These should not be removed, since they still represent the source of the information in Wikipedia. They can be replaced with a better source if one is to hand (after checking that the text still agrees with the new source), but they should not be deleted outright. The page can often be recovered from an archive such as the Internet Archive or WebCite, or it may just have been moved to a different location on the original site. Even if you cannot find a copy, you should just mark the link with {{deadlink}}, another editor may be able to do something with it in the future. This edit was particularly problematic in that you deleted a comment from another editor on a talk page as well as the link. Other editor's comments should never be changed, even if mistaken - see WP:TALK. If you want to make a correction, do it in your own comment afterwards. Here is a standard welcome message;

July 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Jari-Matti Latvala has been reverted.
Your edit here to Jari-Matti Latvala was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/JariMattiLatvala/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.
