A tag has been placed on Engineers Without Borders (Palestine), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Engineers Without Borders (Palestine) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:30, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing your article[edit]

Salaam! I removed the Speedy Delete tag on your article Engineers Without Borders (Palestine), since notability was easily confirmed via a Google search. However, the article is still at risk due to a lack of proper referencing and the need to make it fit Wikipedia standards. I've tagged the article to alert our editors that this is a work in progress. I would recommend that you revist the article ASAp and bring it up to Wikipedia requirements. If you need assistance, free free to call on me. Cheers! Ecoleetage (talk) 12:48, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I understand that you are new to Wikipedia. I can work with you -- I understand that this can be confusing at first. For your article, you need to have proper references to support the data that you are presenting. You can read about that here: WP:RS. If this is confusing, let me know and I will show you how to get started on that. Also, please don't remove the tags I put on the article. Those tags are there to save the article from being deleted. If you have questions, you can post them on my Talk Page. I am also e-mail enabled, so you can reach me via e-mail by the "E-mail this user" button on the left side of your screen. Thank you. Okay, I would recommend this -- leave the article alone for now. I have some projects to take care of offline this morning, but when I am done I will return and edit the article for you. Thanks. Ecoleetage (talk) 14:32, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you are making some basic mistakes in your editing. As I stated earlier, please leave the article alone for now. I will get to it later this morning and fix it so it meets Wikipedia standards. After that, we can regroup and I can show you what I did. Ecoleetage (talk) 14:59, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article is rewritten[edit]

Hello again! Okay, I studied the other EWB articles on Wikipedia, researched the Palestine group, and came up with a rewrite that is now online. You will see that I cut down the text and took out a lot of language that some people might feel looks like marketing and advertising. This is an encyclopedia, of course, so that language is not appropriate here. I would advise that you leave the article's text as it is -- the formatting is correct, so there should not be a problem. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me. Thanks for bringing this article to Wikipedia! Ecoleetage (talk) 15:56, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was born in Mozambique and raised in Portugal. Thanks. Ecoleetage (talk) 16:11, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:11, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you okay?[edit]

Hello, my friend. I was watching the news from Gaza and I wanted to check to see if you and your loved ones were not in the line of fire -- I don't know if you are currently based in Gaza or the West Bank. Please drop me a line when you have a chance. Peace be with you. Ecoleetage (talk) 04:04, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
