Disambiguation link notification for October 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited University of Industry School, Ho Chi Minh City, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vietnamese (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Dan Bac Ky[edit]

The point of the article is to provide a summary of contemporary northern Vietnamese history, geography, and account for migrations of northern Vietnamese to other parts of the country, it is not political piece. The article was created in a no more different manner as articles like North China, orNorthern Germany or Southern Egypt, and is in line with corresponding Vietnamese article, Bắc Kỳ. As for the migrations and "New Economic Zones", they are true and actual historical events, and are supported by well-accepted sources that are used elsewhere on Vietnam history articles on English wiki, and it is a very short English version of the Viet version article "Xây dựng các vùng kinh tế mới". As for the, rather unfortunate, use by some southern Vietnamese of using the term "Bac Ky" derogatorially, yes it's unfortunate, but it is a reality and the article simply states that, just as how Krautor Jap or Chink are used by some Western lowlifes to refer to German, Japanese and Chinese people in a derogatory manner. And, the article never says or implies that northern Vietnamese are a "different ethnicity", which is absolutely wrong. To blame that the article implies that, following that kind of logic, the many other regional articles in wiki, like the 3 exampled above, might as well be accused of making northern Germans, or northern Han Chinese, or southern Egyptians as "separate ethnicities". Yes i'm Vietnamese. Nguyễn Quốc Việt (talk) 13:27, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I read that article and I found that its content is about Vietnamese people. Alphama (talk) 15:06, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I do not know clearly the policies of English Wikipedia. I did revert two articles because I found that they are not correct. I do not know and care who is Jspeed1310 and I have not had conversations with him before. That is really unfair. Many new editors like me come and try to correct and help Wikipedia and just one article, one topic, one edits they were locked by some admins here. Can you show me where that I can express my explantion to higher administraters. By the way, can the admin prove that I am Jspeed1310's sock puppet? If you think that I had the same edits with in a short time in article Dan Bac Ky or Dân Bắc Kỳ because I believed that the two articles are not correct so I tried to fix them and explain my reason clearly at Talk Page, even for the admin who reverted my edits. OMG that is really big mistake that Callanecc made here. If you check my history at English Wikipedia, I do not have the same contributions with Jspeed1310. I also do not know him, do not have the same IP addresses so how come I am Jspeed1310's sock puppet. I want to be myself. My name is Alphama. So once last time, please review and check carefully again by other admins. Admins can not block me forever because you guys think I am somebody else puppet or simply I do have many contributions for English Wikipedia. That is totally unfair. Alphama (talk) 05:45, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

Note to reviewing admin: See User talk:Callanecc/Archive 8#Puppet, the user also sent me an email I can forward if requested. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 07:01, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The content of email is just simple that I requested him to check my case once again.

Can I request another admin to check this case? I do not satisfy with the wrong result that Callanecc did. At least, you must explain clearly the reason why and show me the evidences why I broke the rule. With my appreciation, once again, I just ask 1 simple question with Callanecc that did you check my IP Addresses and my contributions. I feel weird with you, you just compare the two users who edit the same article and you can make a decision that they are puppets. What if I compare you and another user here that you have the same edits in a article with a short time => I can conclude myself you are also puppet. To be honest, you are totally wrong dear Mrs. Ms. Mr. Callanecc. Ok, let make this more simple. I need other admin more neutral check this case. If not, I will send email directly to higher administrater of Wikipedia with my real profile to be sure once again and last once I am not anybody sock puppet. Please consider carefully and neutrally before making further decision because this is very dangerous and slow down the number of new users who are eager to contribute to Wikipedia as well as make more people will be afraid of contributing to Wikipedia.

Ok, let talk about Vietnamese people article, user Nguyễn Quốc Việt did redirected the two articles has name Dan Bac Ky and Dân Bắc Kỳ to Vietnamese people article. This is wrong because simple reason Dan Bac Ky and Dân Bắc Kỳ are not English (here is Wikipedia English). Secondly, Dan Bac Ky and Dân Bắc Kỳ refered to the people of North of Vietnam or People Tonkin [1] which is just a part Vietnamese people. I saw that and tried to correct and also alerted to the admin who reverted my contributions the reason why I did. Ok, if you guys here think Dan Bac Ky and Dân Bắc Kỳ can redirect to Vietnamese people here. That's fine. What if I also redirect Dan Nam Ky and Dân Nam Kỳ (theo people of the South of Vietnam) to Vietnamese people. Is it OK? Or more simple what if somebody redirects Scotland to Great Britain, may be with Callanecc is also OK? I did revert but I am NOT wrong. Once again, I believed myself followed the great spirits of Wikipedia.

If you see something wrong, you have to fix it and explain with everybody know. So to avoid to be thought as a puppet, what will I do in this case? Forget it, let somebody else do it and that man will be locked because sb think he is puppet? Or wait a week and a year and will revert that edit to avoid sb think I am puppet? Just suggest me, what will I do if I see the wrong information in Wikipedia? Long live Wikipedia. Or simply keep quite and do nothing because if you do, sb will lock your account with reason that you are puppet?

Thank you very much! Alphama (talk) 13:41, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

These two emails which I sent to Callanecc.

First email[edit]

Please check carefully again why my account was blocked by you. I am really afraid of you did something wrong with the explanation in my Talk Page. Thank you very much!

Second email[edit]

Dear Mr. or Mrs. or Ms.,

First of all, I want to say thank you because you took your time to contribute to English Wikipedia. I am sorry to write for you a long email because I have no choice to express my opinion.

As you knew, I sent you an email before to convince you that you need to check carefully and neutrally the accusation which I am a puppet. However, it seemed to be that you still kept your opinion. Ok, that is fine. I respect your opinion in this case. The reason why I try to write to you once more email even though I don't think it will not have any changes because I want to remove that accusation. Once again, I have to say I AM NOT a puppet of somebody else. I am Alphama. I have my own name, my own email, my own Passport ID, my own nationality and many things else. I even do not know Jspeed and others in real life.

Then, I would like to introduce with you a little bit about myself. Please have to look this link [2]. You can see that I contributed more than 33,002 in Vietnamese Wikipedia. I loved Wiki when I first came. The reason why I choose to contribute to Vietnamese Wikipedia because I am Vietnamese. I wanted to do something to translate articles from English to Vietnamese. I came to Wikipedia English to write about Vietnamese articles like many editors did. If you are French, you will know more about France and contribute about French articles. User Nguyễn Quốc Việt, Jspeed and I, we are Vietnamese so we will know more about Vietnamese articles. That's why we have the same interest about Vietnamese articles. The reason I did revert the Vietnamese people that I explained clearly that my Talk Page.

Now, I believe you still think I am a puppet. Let me explain a litle bit. I unintentionally saw an edit of user Nguyễn Quốc Việt about the article Vietnamese people. He create Dan Bac Ky and Dân Bắc Kỳ articles I have a look to be curious what happened and I found that user Jspeed did something but user Nguyễn Quốc Việt reverted them. Then, I tried to set deleted labels because I think English Wikipedia may have many editors and they do not have time to take care all wrong information of all articles and hope some admins come and check them. I know you are not Vietnamese and you do not know much Vietnamese. I wonder that did you check and compare the definition of two articles (Dan Bac Ky, Dân Bắc Kỳ) and the definition of Vietnamese people? If you did not do or know how to do that, I am pleased to help you. I bet you that after you research about that you will realize some mistakes? And if you did, let me know how you do that? Did you check everything, my IP addresses also?

I am not angry with you but I just try to let you know more detail about that. I know you are also a good person and good admin. I have many contributions for Wikipedia commonly and suddenly just 1 or 2 edits I were locked forever with unclear reasons. I will wait and let you take your time, one week and one month or more. When you have time, just think about it, and just let me know how you feel if you want.

Of course, I am not happy but I will not behave like a troll or puppet. If this accusation can not be solved, I still contribute to Wikipedia by neutral way. By the way, you also help me know more about English Wikipedia and get experiences about it as well as how it works. Next time, I will try to know more about English Wikipedia and contribute and then may help many people around the world get the precious knowledge of Wikipedia. For me, Wikipedia is great project.

PS: You can forward my email as you wish to other admins and I am very happy to see that. I also hope you will have good health and free time in order to contribute to Wikipedia.

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

User Alphama, Vietnamese Wikipedia Roles: Autopatroller, Patroller and Reverter Alphama (talk) 17:16, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I do not live in Vietnam. Jspeed may live in Hanoi, I guess. Did you check our IP Addresses? Why does Callanecc (talk · contribs) think we are one? I do not care about Jspeed, I care about myself and this account. Callanecc (talk · contribs) can not lock easily somebody like that. Callanecc (talk · contribs) thought that someone can fly from Ho Chi Minh city to Hanoi and then come to my place in short time? That man must be superman. Because Callanecc (talk · contribs) locked many editors like that, now I understand why many editors of Wikipedia had to leave.

If you do not have enough evidences to accuse the case that I am a puppet, just let me free, I will not complain anything else. I understand what you did.

I can not believe that I were locked by admin here. Check this link [3] and realize that it is totally wrong. Alphama (talk) 08:43, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just made two edits and Callanecc (talk · contribs) ban me forever and even do not care how I feel and explain clearly why I were banned. At least you have to explain that I have the same IP Addresses with other accounts or I broke which rule of Wikipedia. Please let me know why? Many editors want to contribute to Wikipedia but just two edits they were banned and with the nonchalant attitude of admin here? Alphama (talk) 18:23, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Non-English Redirects[edit]

If non-English redirects are brought to redirects for discussion, the usual outcome is that they're kept if they're in a language that's relevant to the subject matter, and deleted if they're not. Personally, I find that practice pretty dumb, but it's how it typically plays out. WilyD 12:33, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Finger fork[edit]

Hello Alphama,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Finger fork for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. KevCor360 04:43, 24 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A while back you blocked Free Bloc on viwiki. You might also want to have a look at Idealistic socialism.
