Hi Alksub, and welcome to Wikipedia! I saw your edit pop up on Magical realism and thought I'd swing by and say hello. Here's the usual boilerplate--a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page (below).

Anyway, happy editing, and have a good time! If there's ever anything I can help with (or if you just want to say hey) feel free to swing by my talk page! All the best, --Dvyost 05:28, 24 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

PS Just looked over your other contribs. Anybody who'll write "pedantic edit" on one is my kind of editor... =)

Nya, y'beat me to the proposed deletion tag! Only question from me is, if it gets removed because the author doesn't want it there, does it warrant the tag's reinclusion? --Dane ~nya 06:40, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, if the author removes the tag it can't be put back. --Alksub 06:43, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Flicker.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Flicker.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sorry about tag[edit]

I saw you reverted the vandalism on that page and you might have noticed the speedy deletion tag. I wasn't aware at the time the article had come under vandalism and wasn't just a new article. I apologize for this mix up. Xtreme racer 03:33, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warffuel[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Warffuel, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}.--orlady 19:24, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rich Zubaty[edit]

I notice that you've listed this page as a possible copyright violation. I've obtained permission from the author, as noted in the talk page, and appropriate notices have been placed on the original site. Additionally, Rich Zubary has sent a mail giving consent under the GFDL to permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org. Is there anything else to be done? If not, I'd like to revert the page back to how it was before you placed the notice on it. Martin c harvey 19:58, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to {{Copyvio}}, only administrators are allowed to remove the copyright notice. In any case, there can be problems with notability unless you cite reliable sources. Alksub 20:33, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Per your template tag, page deleted[edit]

I have deleted the page on Compulsive editing due to the lack of reliable sources. Thanks much for bringing it to my attention. Jrod2 05:12, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What?[edit]

You want to delete my page, but your accusation is completely false. --DestinyBond 05:46, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nice find on the OR in this AfD [1]. Refreshing to see stuff like that :) Giggy\Talk 06:56, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for changing this. The space looks so much better. Thought to do it myself but had to go to bed at some point (!!) Britmax 19:32, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect of Brennan strawn[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Brennan strawn, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Brennan strawn is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Brennan strawn, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. CSDWarnBot 12:30, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you accidentally de-reverted your revert. I have gone back to your initial reversion. --Duncan 12:04, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About category for Articles placed into WP:ICU[edit]

Would you mind telling me what you had in mind with the various attempts to delete this category? Realkyhick 03:40, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind (duh!). I forgot that I incorrectly added that category instead of the correct name. I think I'm up past my bedtime.
Feel free to delete the extraneous category, or pass it along to an admin to do so. User:NawlinWiki can handle it if you're not an admin. Realkyhick 03:47, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Atala T[edit]

List of Knight's Cross recipients: S'[edit]

Hi,

May I ask why you renamed the long list "List of Knight's Cross recipients: S'" and removed the apostrophe? I used the apostrophe to denote that this list is actually a subset of the letter S. The remaining entries beginning with Sch can be found in "List of Knight's Cross recipients: Sch". Now that you renamed the list it gives the impression that the list is complete with respect to the entries beginning with S. Thanks!

MisterBee1966 21:46, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted the move. Thanks for telling me. --Alksub 23:04, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:UPDATE[edit]

Hi, I saw your proposal to rename Category:Articles verified to be up to date. I created the category for the WP:UPDATE It sounds fair enough the change, please go ahead, I will take care of the templates. I saw some concerns about the word "verified" and a proposal to change it to "reviewed". I am more for "verified" but "reviewed" will be good enough if you think it is better. The matter is not the wording, it is the encouragement to keep an Update-Watch by editors and a sense of keeping articles up to date by authors and contributors. So, lets do it, go ahead with the change ℒibrarian2 18:24, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Islam and science[edit]

Please post on the talk page what copyright is being violated and how. Thanks, Arrow740 07:09, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, thanks for catching my mistake. I thought the previous person had made that vandalism. ✗iℎi✗(talk) 01:39, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you withdraw this AfD three minutes after you created it? Just wondering. Ten Pound Hammer(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 23:54, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought deletion might be too heavy-handed considering "History of sex slavery" is a viable topic. --Alksub (talk) 07:11, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Brice Dickson[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Brice Dickson, has been listed for deletion. Ion movement in a battery picture[edit]

Hey, I see that you got the picture with a battery with ions moving in the straw: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ElectrochemCell.png I have thought a lot about such a "circuit" where you have movement of ions instead of electrons. Tell me, is there a name for this type of circuit? I keep on calling it an "Ion Circuit" ..unfortunately it is relatively difficult to setup experimental circuits because they require a lot of some chemical with lots of watertight tubes connected together. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.3.246.53 (talk) 22:59, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Rhem.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Rhem.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:21, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Alksub,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Financial Freedom listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Financial Freedom. Since you had some involvement with the Financial Freedom redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Steel1943 (talk) 18:05, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
