Closing Credits[edit]

Hey there

Why do you insist on using the closing credits as a source? I haven't heard from ABC's Soaps in Depth or any of the huge magazines that Eddie Alderson went to recurring? On November 23 if were gonna go by the credits, listed Eddie as recurring? Maybe the credits were wrong to begin with? He's still in the opening? Look I think you need to have a reliable source saying Eddie went to recurring, The credits could be wrong for all you know. I'm just warning you. By the way I cleaned out your talk page for ya, it was getting a little long and you had all those orphaned images on there. Soapfan2013 (talk) 17:39, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

LOL yeah I don't understand image credits at all so I just left it there. Anyway, the closing credits are the official credits of the show. It's just how it is. No, they're not 100% accurate but what is? SOD and SOW have missed many recurring drops before. I would think they may just not have known. It's just not really newsworthy. I don't think he was purposefully dropped, his contract probably just expired and it made no sense to renew it for months when he was not going to have story until the end of the show. But regardless, he is on recurring, no matter what the reason behind it. I'm not trying to be mean, I just feel like people are trying to keep him in the contract section cause they're like upset he got "bumped" or something. I'm the biggest Matthew fan out there and I'm not upset lol. I just want to keep the page accurate for everyone, I'm not trying to be vindictive. The closing credits have NEVER been wrong when it comes to contract vs. recurring, not once. Spelling sometimes but not what TYPE of contract the people have. I knew Deanna was gone by watching the closing credits weeks before it was announced. As for the opening...it simply isn't accurate. If you want me to go on a tirade about the opening I can but I'd rather not haha. Alexisfan07 2 December 2011

I'm not trying to be mean either, but maybe you are right, but yeah go on the tirade about the opening, I already know what you are gonna say, that Dorian and Langston are still in the opening, Lindsay was in the opening for years after she was recurring for 5 years. I just want you to know, that if Eddie is listed in the contract section this week, I'm going to put him in the contract section. I'm not upset that Matthew is on recurring. If you wanna keep it accurate, go for it. But giving that he's gonna be a father, kind of like a contract storyline right there. Soapfan2013 (talk) 03:29, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't blame you at all, there was someone else that was trying to claim Eddie was on contract but they were MUCH ruder about it so I appreciate your approach. :) I don't want to be right in this case per se but I've been watching for years and the credits don't mess up that kinda stuff. I hope you aren't offended haha. I agree the storyline is big but many recurring stars get big stories (Echo had one for like a year, though now she's disappeared haha). Alexisfan07 2 December 2011

Maybe Echo might show up again before the finale in January? And yeah I think I know who you are talking about. Soapfan2013 (talk) 08:13, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

She hasn't been in any filming reports so I think she's just gone with no real closure. I'm glad they realized fans would rather see Roxy this late in the game. Alexisfan07 4 December 2011
Kim Zimmer is still with the show. She hasn't left. Just a shortage of storyline for Echo. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 17:59, 4 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't bother me to keep her in the recurring cast but I'm telling you, we've seen the last of her. Sorry. Alexisfan07 4 December 2011
I don't. Because right now, yes they're focusing on the more contracted characters for the series finale, but she'll pop up. Kim has shown no signs on no longer being on OLTL. BTW, I am currently trying to get you back your old "talks" that were removed by someone that was not you. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 17:47, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Musicfreak, I did that, I removed them, her talk page was getting too long anywayz, no need to bring them back, I already told her I did it just to clean up her talk page. Soapfan2013 (talk) 06:59, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You can't go deleting someone else's talk page, it's incredibly rude and not your decision to make such decisions. I will bring it back in an archive, which is what SHOULD have been done by Alexisfan07, NOT you! Musicfreak7676 (talk) 17:42, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was helping her out Musicfreak, who died and made you king of Wikipedia? I already told her I deleted the crap on her talk page so she can have more convos she seemed ok with that, quit bossing other people around and mind your own business. In fact why the heck are we having this convo on her talk page? Soapfan2013 (talk) 20:14, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inviting You into Discussions[edit]

I'm inviting you into these discussions: [1] [2]. Figured you'd like to be included, as a big contributor to the soaps. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 18:27, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alexisfan07, will you try to make a persuasive argument for the new image on the talk page? Simply uploading the new image that has been rejected quite a few times is not going to solve anything. All that results in is WP:Edit warring, which is against policy. On topics such as disputed images, Wikipedia works by achieving WP:Consensus. Flyer22 (talk) 02:04, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I replied on my talk page. Flyer22 (talk) 18:34, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cole Thornhart[edit]

Should I upload a pic of Van Hughes as Cole Thornhart, since he is playing the role of Cole now? Soapfan2013 (talk) 21:35, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there :) First of all, thanks for backing me on Terri Conn. It's absurd how little people understand about how contracts work. She's part of the final cast, she should remain listed. Yeah I'd love to see a pic of Van up there but I'd put it under the box (like how Trevor's is under the info box for Todd). Brandon should remain the main picture since he held the years for four years. I just don't know the exact code to put his pic there. Alexisfan07 4 January 2012

I need to download the episode first than get a screenshot, funny enough I agree that Van's pic should be on the bottom since he's playing the part for 2 weeks so. Soapfan2013 (talk) 09:02, 4 January 2012 (UTC) I just uploaded a pic of Van as Cole and it's at the bottom. Check it out in the Cole Thornhart article. I hope you like the pic, tell me what you think of the pic. Soapfan2013 (talk) 17:51, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I really don't like the pic I posted of Van as Cole so I'm gonna replace it with another one when I get the screenshot. Because that one is too dark. Soapfan2013 (talk) 20:38, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Haha I noticed it was kind of dark but I didn't wanna intrude. It's your call. :) Alexisfan07 (talk) 22:09, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hope the new pic is better, lemme know what you think? Soapfan2013 (talk) 20:42, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That works but is there a shot of him where he's sort of smiling or something at Starr? I think that would work best. Maybe from that scene with them in the cabana? I can't really remember every single scene of them to think of a good shot though. Alexisfan07 (talk) 23:01, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The first one is of him in the cabana and that was dark. This is the best one I can come up with where you could see his face. I'm sorry. I think the new one looks better than the last one. Soapfan2013 (talk) 04:28, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's totally fine! I think it works :) Alexisfan07 (talk) 13:29, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Just to let you know, I reverted your addition to List of Days of our Lives cast members because social networking sites, blogs, etc. are not acceptable sources for information per WP:V. If you can find a reliable, 3rd party source to back up the information, you may return it. Thanks. Rm994 (talk) 16:59, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do not continue to use social networking sites, i.e. facebook as sources. They are not reliable per WP:V. Failure to follow rules could result in your being blocked from editing. Rm994 (talk) 05:20, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Alexis why do you keep posting from twitter as sources, soapcentral and twitter are not allowed as sources. I don't want you to be blocked from editing, find another source other than twitter or soapcentral. :) Soapfan2013 (talk) 16:32, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Once again reminding you that Twitter cannot be used as a source, whether it's from an actor or not. Whether it's an airdate, etc. it cannot be used. It fails WP:V. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 22:46, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why?[edit]

Why do you keep using Twitter as a source when we've told you it is NOT. STOP. Use it again, I will report you to a hire authority. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 16:52, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Because it was the easiest way to show everyone that he was essentially off the show. Honestly, I would've removed him from the list completely since that's what SOD says but since he himself said it's possible he's recurring, I figured I'd paste it for everyone to see and leave him there to keep the fanatics like you happy. Alexisfan07 27 May 2012
Still we've told you over and over you CANNOT use it. I don't know how that doesn't transmute into your mind. And please sign your posts correctly. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 23:39, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you continue to ignore the Twitter rule? MusicFreak7676 TALK! 20:26, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously, I'm not. Did I use it to source the page? NO. But to act like Twitter doesn't exist and that's not his official page is preposterous. I'm simply choosing not to use that SOD quote. That's the only source that's ever said he was out. He's not out, they misunderstood and the actor cleared up that he's simply out as in off contract. This isn't hard so please don't make it hard. Leave him in the contract credits and I will move him recurring when it's reflected in the show's credits, okay? Alexisfan07 23 June 2012
No Alexis, they did not misunderstanding. Twitter fails per WP:TWITTER and has been claimed as not valid for sourcing information on soap lists. You know better, you've been told better. SOD does not get it "wrong", they get their information direct from the soaps and their distribution companies. He's OUT. The magazine states he's out of the show, they didn't cite it as a contract/status change, they put it under "Going". MusicFreak7676 TALK! 20:32, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Reeves/Steve Webber[edit]

Hi, just a reminder, I noticed you took Reeves/Webber out of the Main Cast and Departing on the GH cast members page. That's great, but when you do that can you also please remember to put the person down into the Former Cast Members at the same time? It's happened before (I'm not saying by you), and it would be helpful. Thanks! Inhan Lagur (talk) 23:59, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Maks & Richard Simmons[edit]

Hi, I don't mean to be that guy again, but when you delete entire lines and footnotes from Debuting and Returning (such as you did with Maks & Richard Simmons), can you please remember to move them to their proper place elsewhere, whether it be Main, Recurring, Former, or Notable? (In these cases, Notable) I know it's exciting to change a page, but can you do the second half of it too? This way others don't have to look to make sure it got done. Thank you....
