February 2007[edit]

Welcome! Thank you for adding your humour to Wikipedia, but the articles are meant to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Dean Cook. Some readers looking for a serious article might not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write whatever you want (as long as it's not offensive). You might also want to check out Wikipedia:Bad Jokes and Other Deleted Nonsense. Matt J User|Talk 11:57, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I initially copied the Dean Cook article to my userspace so that it would be accessible to you for your exams, but I've since decided to just delete it instead. Frankly, I find it extremely unlikely that you need that for school, but just in case you do, I've emailed it to you. If you still need to post it to the web somewhere, I suggest wikispaces. Please don't re-add it to Wikipedia. Thanks.--Kchase T 12:34, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:DeanCook.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:DeanCook.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. feydey 19:53, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As your stamp image was tagged as being unacceptable, you might like to offer an opinion about changing their guidelines for stamps such as yours which would be considered commemorative stamps. Any opinions on this issue could be very helpful: It's discussed here.]--Wikiwatcher1 (talk) 04:18, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
