I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. Sustainability NPOV

While respecting and appreciating your attempt to maintain NPOV in this article I think that it is misplaced here. I do not think there is any defensible doubt, for example, that consuming fossil fuels at current rates is sustainable. This is no longer debatable or an opinion - it is a fact. The press tends to focus on climate (and water) but there are many other (scientifically well-researched) examples of our unsustainable human resource use. I have not read the book you refer to but have looked at what you have directed me to on the web. IMO it is arguing about the lack of detail in dealing with the problems - the inadequacy of the Brundtland definition and so on. The Sustainability article deals a lot with this perspective - try reading the section on "Definition" in the article and you will see that abundant consideration is given to divergent points of view. Also you seem to have misunderstood what I was saying (or I was unclear). We are "currently" living unsustainably is the message. You and others may believe that technology can turn that around and that is fine - the article contains a lot of material to encourage that point of view. Try reading the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment and research on the global Ecological Footprint. Anyway, see what others editing on this page think apart from me. Beckerman's views are certainly a minority position and his topic is "Sustainable development," not "Sustainability." Sustainable development is a notion that is problematized by many, and we reflect that in the article. The statement that AlexHorovitz was attempting to qualify is that there is "clear scientific evidence that humanity is living unsustainably." This statement is sourced. In order to modify it, we would want to see evidence to the contrary. Beckerman is an economist, not a scientist. I think we would need much more than just his assertions. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. Problem with your custom signature

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:

1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
