Peace dove

Adambro, I wanted to stop by your talk page and apologize for my recent conduct related to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2009 Fox News – White House controversy. I got a bit carried away about the whole editing comments thing, and I took it too far. You had the right idea, and in the end the idea by another admin to instead suggest to me to collapse them worked out well. I value your contributions on the project, and again express that I'm sorry about this recent exchange. I truly hope we can again interact politely with each other in the future to work positively and constructively to improve the project. Cirt (talk) 04:08, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

AfD query

Would it be alright with you if I collapsed the back-and-forth exchange at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2009 Fox News – White House controversy that we had, as I had done similarly with my source list? Cirt (talk) 18:39, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

I'd have no problem with that. Thanks for your other messages by the way. I wasn't ignoring them, I just wanted to leave responding till I had more time. Regards. Adambro (talk) 18:40, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
You are most welcome, sigh, and thanks for responding! :) Cirt (talk) 18:42, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Oldham Loop Metrolink stations

Thank you for your suggestions for the Oldham Loop Metrolink stations. I think you might be right in that the stations being converted should link to the original railway station sites, but I would prefer to keep the pages about the new stations.

OTRS permission

Hello user:Adambro,

I am a relatively new Wikipedia user and successfully uploaded File:MO_Bangkok_exterior.jpg with the cc-by-sa-3.0 tag. The file was later marked for deletion because there was no proof that "the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license." I represent the copyright holders of this image and therefore believe I should be able to apply this tag and upload the photo to Wikipedia. I sent an email to permissions-en-at-wikimedia.org and received a ticket # (2009102310039971). I applied the OTRS tag with ticket number to the image and yet again it has been flagged for deletion. Can you please help? Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thank you so much, Brandopedia (talkcontribs) 20:32, 2 November 2009

Somerset3d

Hello,

I am The Captain and you recently left a message asking of my connection to the website Somerset3d.

I am the webmaster and photographer for this website. I place links to the village I have featured via the Wikipedia page for that same village. The idea is that if people are interested in information on a village I thought they would be interested in seeing photographs of said village.

The website is a non-profit-making website and free to view.

My plan is to record all of the towns and villages in Somerset in 3d.

3d is on the up at the moment so I'm also pandering to those intersted in 3d.

My statistics show that a good number of visitors come to my website via Wikipedia. I also make use of Wikipedia myself in that when I feature a village I put notes about the village's history and link key names and events from the article back to Wikipedia.

I see it as a two way thing.

I hope this all makes sense.

Regards,

Alan Woollard (The Captain) Somerset3d —Preceding unsigned comment added by The Captain (talkcontribs) 15:05, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Pencil Full of Lead

On the template I deleted it said the result was "keep", which I thought meant that the article won't be deleted, forgive me for my error. Is there any way of getting the template removed more quickly, because the article is clearly now at a much more advanced stage? Thanks Kitchen roll (talk) 14:16, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

AdambroBot edits

Hi, re this edit - I'm puzzled by the insertion of the comma above the categories - what is its purpose? --Redrose64 (talk) 20:42, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi there Redrose64. It seems that the comma was actually there to begin with ({{SouthEastEngland-railstation-stub}},) and just managed to end up on its own line when the stub template was moved. Regards. Adambro (talk) 20:48, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

British Rail Class 321

Hi there, someone on Wikipedia seems to think that it is the right thing to enter the wrong build dates for the British Rail Class 321 Electric Multiple Unit trains. They state incorrectly that these trains were built during the period of 1986-89. This cannot be possible, as during this time, British Rail were building the Class 317/2 Electric Multiple Units (1985-87) and Class 319/0 Electric Multiple Units (1987-88).

The correct build dates for the Class 321 are as follows:

  • Class 321/3 were built 1988-90
  • Class 321/4 were built 1989-90
  • Class 321/9 were built 1991

I also include a reference, it is The Railway Centre 'Technical Data' <http://www.therailwaycentre.com/New%20EMU%20Tech%20Data/EMU_321.html>

Please can you ensure that no-one inputs the incorrect date?

I am unsure who is entering the wrong dates.

Thanking you in advance.

All the info was taken from a removed section in the Talk:DB Schenker Rail (UK) page

It was removed by some IP Address user, and I re-added it because A. someone had flagged that it need expansion, B. Just about every other TOC. has a list of the equipment they operate, So That's the best I can do for the moment I see if a few websites I know of have any information (though their modeling websites and the most useful stops at about class 67, and don't recall where it stops relating to Electrics.--The Navigators (talk)-May British Rail Rest in Peace. 01:13, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Alliance Rail

Moved to User talk:Fizzycreative. Adambro (talk) 15:55, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

  • Well I also know that it does take quite some time for rail services to start, so I would leave the pages unless the service has been cancelled. Also I can't see you the Manger at Alliance Rail would just make this up, so I would just waite until something else comes up about the GNER and GNWR services. When you have a moment, could you please verify that this ticket is valid and that it deals with this image? Thank you.--Rockfang (talk) 02:43, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Yes it does, the ticket looks satisfactory. Regards. Adambro (talk) 13:13, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

deleting pages

Hi!

I have a question about deleting pages and reaching consensus. I have nominated an article to be deleted but the editors who participate in the discussions are very partial and push hard to promote their own political viewpoints, how can I get neutral parties in the discussion? And who has the final words about articles being deleted or not?

Well? -- Avi (talk) 16:36, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

I wasn't able to figure out how to decrypt it. I don't use PGP much. Did you use the key from here? Sorry about this. Adambro (talk) 17:26, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Yes. That actually is what the message is about Decrypted content below:

Adam, there seems to be something wrong with your GPG public key as it is sitting on your page. I am taking your key from the Pramberger.AT server. Can you check it, please?

Thanks,

-- Avi (talk) 00:43, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Ahh. I lost the private key for my previous public key unfortunately, hence why I created a new key. I've added the new key to Pramberger.AT now. Regards. Adambro (talk) 13:53, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
